You first night in Minecraft?

Well I didn't know how to play so I'll start with my first "real" night. I was wandering around knowing nothing about the game and eventually got some wood. I had made a small dirt bunker and hid in there but when I walked out and saw a green thing. Figuring it was day I walked up to see what it does and that's how I found out about creepers.

Little hut with glass windows,an effective tree farm,and some torches. Yeah. I watched vids before I started,and worked quickly.

My VERY FIRST night in Minecraft, before I looked up a guide to figure out how the hell anything works? I dug a hole in a wall next to some water and hid until morning. I uncovered a block in front of me every now and then to see if it was daylight yet.

I dug a nice little cave. It was so cosy I didn't want to leave and expand. Even now building, god knows what, it doesn't quite have the feeling of that little cave of solitude. A dark cave to myself, not a Zubat in sight, It made a nice change.

My brother showed me how to play, but despite that he told me to, I didn't build a house. I placed one torch right next to me and, amazingly, no monsters spawned. It was on medium difficulty, so I guess I was just really, really, lucky.

in the first day i managed to build a small 2 leveled cave with a skull face on the front. so i was chilling out in one of the eye sockets all night.

As I LOVE the Yogscast (LOVE times OVER 9000 that is), I tried to match their situation step by step from episode 1. I didn't even care that I spent the night in a shack made of dirt with tree leaves as my roof. (I LOOOOOVE the Yogscast.)

My first one was rather cool, but I didn't know much and didn't look up info. I saw Seananner's first Let's Play and then got inspired, got the game and started playing.
Dug a hole in the side of a mountain and hid there until morning. I developed it during the night but it was hard without torches.

I died. Left an ugly little crater too. After that, I just dug down at the spawn point and gave myself a dirt tomb until morning. Not fun.

Thankfully I am now far more experienced, and manage to have a stone or wooden tomb by the first night.

Made a mountain house, also got some torches and iron, that was epic, THEN I forgot to make a door and lost everything, rage quited, tryed again.

I dug a hole behind a waterfall and put torches everywhere. There was a skeleton that got trapped in the falls right outside my door and kept going up and down and stayed there till midday.

[Galaxy Roll]

I swam across a small ocean, ended up on some small island, began to punch monsters to death, and got sniped by a skeleton. When I respawned, I hid in a little hole I had built around my spawn ahead of time.

~40 Minecraft days later and I still haven't found that island I landed on.

I had made a pit, and I moved around so all the enemy monsters fell into the pit, filling the bottom with monsters. And it was a great system until I fell into the pit. I re spawned, and then missed a creeper that had gotten around the pit. Then...it kinda degraded from there.

Second night I upgraded to a hole in the side of a hill. Did forestry during the day and mined at night. Finally worked out for me.
