Albert Motherf***en' Einstine.

I swear, if he came to our time and had a crack at all the knowledge and theories that we have come up with since his departure, we would have space and time travel, people.

Tesla, Turing, or one of the many other great minds that got screwed in their time due to limited foresight due to politics or economics.

Since Tesla and Einstein have been spoken for and picking one of them at this point would be like beating a dead horse, I'm going with Thomas Jefferson. Ben Franklin and Mark Twain are also good choices.

Someone from the 3 Kingdoms Period of China or Sengoku/Tokugawa Period or Japan, like Cao Cao or Oda Nobunaga or Masamune Date. I would love to learn about their time from a first hand account.

Just out of curiosity who do you think was the greatest female leader in history. If you can't pick one feel free to mention as many as you wish.

Probably Emily Bronte or John Keats -- both incredible artists who died before their time (30 and 26 respectively). I would love to see what else they had to write about.

@ the Boudica fuckwit: You're either the most commited troll I've seen in a while, or actually believe that she was something special. Roman history is littered with stories of pissed off "barbarians" knocking down a few roman cities, beating a legion (or, in her situation, a half-legion roflcopter) and then getting removed from existence shortly thereafter. Just because it was a "she" doesn't make her special. If you want a preach-able female role model, I'd suggest Rosa Parks.

OT: I'd bring back Galileo. No particular reason.

For serious, probably Jack the Ripper so I'd know who it was.
that's quite a good one, you would become really famous if you could prove who it was, but you would a plan to stop him fucking killing people again
18th century 'gentleman' versus modern day pimp who just lost one of his hos... Yeah my money is on the one with modern day technology.

Dennis Ritchie
because he actually had a major impact on computing and I'm sure he can do more for the industry in general.
Most people don't seem to grasp the 40 year rule (AKA the oldest year you can take somebody from is 1978 I think)
