You have a development team of 1,000,000 people... What game do you have them create?

I'd rather take those people and budget to build wells, schools and hospitals in developing nations.
Right, because game designers are also wonderful carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and innumerable other specialized professions and would totally not make a bunch of shitty crap that collapses when you try and work it. And even if they were that multi-talented, just building infrastructure is no good when there's A) wars going on B) no one to maintain this stuff, and C) who is to stop one of the numerous warlords from taking over all the nice stuff that was built?

You can't solve a problem by throwing people and money at it. And even if you could, making this game and selling it would turn quite a profit, giving you more money AND making lots of other people happy.

I would fire 999,899 of them and get working on a re-invention of the console RPG genre. I can't manage a huge team like that, that's ridiculously unmanagable. Plus with my plan I can fund this whole thing for 10,000 times as long for the same amount of cash so it's a no-brainer.

I'd set them to make a new Fallout game, but without all the bugs, upgraded graphics and gameplay.. yeah, i know this seems impossible, but with that many men working you would get one hell of a big gametester squad..

fire most of them, too many cooks and all that....plus being the main woman/man leading all those people towards a common goal is tantamount to being a dictator and we all know how that pans out usually.

I can hardly believe that only one person could command 1.000.000 people at the same time...

OT: A RTS in which you can zoom in and control units in PFS style. In space.

I don't think having 1,000,000 people would work out better than the normal sized team. I can't imagine how often people would step on each others' toes.

A game in which you survive the zombie apocalypse and you can go anywhere in the world, which appears as it is in real life, and everything is randomised (e.g. number of survivors, place of outbreak etc.)

Runescape 3

An actual game, with a real storyline, and a modern MMO playstyle... unlike that old one.

The Ultimate Game:

Adventure Puzzle Action Quest FPS Mystery Thriller Simulation RPG etc!

It can take place in any time period with a character and world of your choosing and creation. The voice actors would be bursting with life with technology that makes L.A Noire look like a cartoon. Physics that are amazing and over 200 rich detailed stories taking place in your world.

Also there would be ways to travel into other players cities and co-op.

The game would come with a goddamn golden frame to place around your TV to appreciate this work of Art.

I'd make The World from Hack Sign but 1000 times better and less evil AI's trying to blow the place up.

If not, Banjo-Threeie for the Wii 2. Nothing of that "We're on XBOX360 now, lol, suck it Rareware"
or some bullshit gimmick of building cars. I want an ACTUAL sequel.
I enjoyed Nuts and Bolts. I consider it an actual sequel.

One giant war game - an MMO-FPS that actually works! Imagine it - 100,000 players charging the beaches of Normandy vs 50,000 defenders, only instead of scripted history and -high- learning curves, a simple interface with millions of people battling for control of, say, Planet X.

Digimon Story: The Digital Nexus

By this I mean an open world Digimon game, set in both Earth and the Digital World, in the vein of The Elder Scrolls/Fallout 3.

You control a Tamer you create yourself, Saint's Row 3 style, then pick your Digimon from any of the Rookie Digimon in circulation. Even better, your partner can perform actions you cannot, so this adds some Deus Ex gameplay into the game.

So many great ideas, but until Toei/Bandai/Namco give us a Dynasty Warriors-esque Digimon game, or an open world one, this idea will sit in my head.

For the 5 people who have played Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines.

Remember how awesome it is? Well now imagine that in an open world, a whole city, with loads of sidequests. You have to feed regularly, upholding the masquerade, make sure you're indoors by sunrise. Essentially just like Bloodlines, but with better combat, brilliant visuals and the dark humour we came to love.
:')

One can dream.

You know all those destructable enviroment games? Yeah like that but with google earth hi-fi-ed and brought into smashy blowy up fun. Make your character with any choice of super powers. munitions or godlike abilities and enjoy as you and your friends hurl a taxi dead through the middle of the london eye and scream bullseye!

Wouldn't be so ruined by tonnes of workers and commitees as most of the work would be modelling each building in each city and each geographical feature the world over. Throw in different game modes and powers for a core team of the best of the best and it would be a nice to play game. Nothing amazing, just some harmless fun.

Total War: Cold War. Complete with realistic tech trees, political maps and systems, and a bitching 3D realtime combat system a la World In Conflict, but with 100km square maps and realistic combat, complete with morale, cover, time speed up/slow down and sexy, sexy graphics... is what one half of the dev team would work on.

The other half would develop processing and graphics architecture to run it :D
