If you could have a power that make your life easier and/or more comfortable, but it could not be actively used to fight/commit crime etc. what would it be?

I would go with control over the growth of my hair. Length, thickness and if/where it would grow. (All right, no more shaving for me!!!)

That or the ability to absorb knowledge just by touching the source. (Like Metro Man, but without the lose of said knowledge after a short duration.)

The power to decide how drunk I get from alcohol. If I wanted I could slam a forty of vodka with no effect or get buzzed off a couple beers depending on the circumstances.

Not exactly a "useless" superpower. Visit the largest libraries in the world, and run your hand along all the spines of all of the books. Become an industry spy, stealing from computers with the touch of your hand. Become rich and powerful as an information broker.

That's a pretty powerful superpower. Far more useful than, say, laser eyes or super-strength.

The ability to master any manual dexterity task by seeing it once. Example - learn to play guitar instantly, or to draw like a god (because that's really just manual dex)

Be the most charismatic person ever.

Seriously lacking in this charm department and I'd really really like to be able to have a supernatural charisma...

The ability to cast <a href=http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/prestidigitation.htm>prestidigitation at will or the ability to fly depending on if I am interpreting the rules correctly.

That isn't exactly crime fighting. Maybe I am just interpreting it differently, but you could fight crime with just about any power. I am just reading it like "you are not allowed to fight crime with it" rather than "the power can not be one that can fight crime".

Invisibly that only works if no one se... Oh wait. Wrong "useless superpower" thread. Eyes that adjusted to light levels way more efficiently than normal. By that I mean natural sunglasses when it's bright outside and dark-vision for... Well for when it's dark inside or out. That way I don't need light bulbs OR sunglasses.

Ughhh... let's get this over with...

It had to be done one time or another. I thought I would just get it out of the way.

Premonition or Empathy.
I mean, there isn't really much use for Empathy. Premonition, maybe, but it would only be for things about me.

Well, I would want one of two things.

The ability to make robots that can do my job for me. I could make like 20, and get hired into a bunch of places. Make money while still technically working.

or

The ability to repel all manor of insects, so I no longer have to worry about bees and mosquitoes.

Just because you absorbed the information does not mean you understand, instantly recall and/or know said information to be true.

The spell of many uses.

OT: Flicking a small flame from my fingertips. Nothing game-breaking, here, just an easy way to light my smokes.
It'd also save me about 70 cents a month on lighters! Possibly on my car insurance, too. [sub][sup][color=0000CD][citation needed][/color][/sup][/sub]

I'd want to change my eye colors, because I think black hair, dark skin, and green eyes would kick ass. And my dad had green eyes, so that'd just be cool.

Hell ya. I could open a green laundromat(Uses 1000% less water!), any kitchen, street performer, maid, etc. Those are just the things I could think of off the top of my head.
