Donate about 3/4 of it to various game related charities and game related schools. Invest 1/4 of the rest in a "future fund" sort of deal. 2/4 would be shared with family and friends and the remaining 1/4 would be spent on games.

Buy that computer I've been saving for, a bunch of airsoft gear, and give the rest to my parents to help pay off their house.

Buy myself a cheap but new automatic car (around $15,000 USD), so that I can get rid of my current piece of goram dren.

The rest? I dunno. Put it in the bank. I'll figure out the rest, later.

To the bank! I'd probably give a lesser amount to charity, in order to feel justified in keeping the greater share.

Pay for my university course..
.. in video games design.

Basically I wouldn't care that he gave it to me more than anyone else, other than the fact I would be extra happy to rid him of it. I'd use it the same way I'd use it I won 50k any other way.

$5000 to charity. After that, meet with a financial planner for the rest since, if left to my own devices, I'd probably blow it all away because I have no idea what to do with that much.

Probably buy a ton of games, most of the consoles I never got to play and a ton of upgrades to my computer. With about $45,000 left, I'll probably just chuck the rest in the bank so it can accumulate interest.

If I can't put it in the bank, I'd probably invest in a game as a producer. I've always wanted to be a game producer, so it's pretty much a gateway to a career. To be sure, I'd probably invest into something like a Rockstar Games game.

Id buy all the games I could need, buy some stock in nintendo and xbox, and then put the rest in the bank and continue to live off my paycheck.

Pay off my bank debts, put aside $1000 for upcoming Steam sales, and then put the remaining towards a house or flat, or a car. Or, y'know, food.

Save $40,000 of it for college, spend the other $10,000 on various games, and other stuff I want. And all the games would be ones Thompson would disapprove of.
