Hm, so I'm probably the only one who feels like these people are in hiding?

Well, I live in Truro, NS (Canada), so maybe people are too busy smelling salt air, or riding trains to be into Twilight.

Oh, another note: there are so many haters on Twilight, Hannah, and JB videos, commenting on how crap they all are, it still feels like our army's bigger than theirs.
Well you might be right about it being where you live, in my school last year almost all the girls from grade 5-8 were addicted to this crap (I'm in the Greater Toronto Area), I'm seeing it less in high school though, thankfully...

As for us being greater in number, no, we are not, I think we have just worn them down so much that they don't wanna argue with us for fear that they will realize (like we have) that they are all just a petty fad with the depth of a particularly small puddle of dog piss.
I see. Well, if that's the case, if we went to war, our weaponry and skill would still let us win, huh?

One of my friends read the Twilight books and said he liked them so my other friend punched him in the stomach.
Did he get a cookie?

When kids don't have a hero or some sort of idol to look up to that's actually WORTH looking up to, they have to start looking up to mentally challenged pop stars that are trained to play power chords like a spaztic monkeys and sing through a voice modifying microphone or simply do playbacks. In short, just comes to show how downhill our infants are going.

Good thing we will always have idols such as the spy.

Who does believe he is on fire.

I saw a countdown of "Pop Punk" music earlier and before we got to Green Day and Blink 182 I had to sit through Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, the girl from Camp Rock, and Katy Perry.
...wtf?

Anyway, Twilight.
I gather that the books are very good for teenage girls because they deal with subjects like sexual tension and such.
The male equivalent would be...I dunno, Darren Shan?
Just let people be drooling idiotic fangirls (and boys) if they wish. The geek shall inherit the earth.

Anyway point is, count yourself lucky if you've never met a Twilight fan in real life
Indeed. [http://twilightsucks.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fangirls&action=display&thread=5175]

OT: Twilight fans and such are too young to use The Intarwebz. Well, not exactly, but they tend to go to more unintelligent places.

Alright, show of hands, how many people here like Twilight? ...Yeah, I thought so. How 'bout Hannah Montana, Jonas Bros., or any other current Disney crap? Uh-huh, no surprise.

So, what I'm saying is, almost nobody here likes these things, that apparently so many people like. I've yet to meet someone who likes them though. Well, some people I know like Twilight, but most of them admit to their faults. I've only met one devotee in real life, and she was, well, whacky to begin with.

I'm wondering now; where are all these fans? There was that line a Comicon, all Twilight fans or something (so I've read about), Miley Cyrus and JB still sell out, the pricks. Do these people, the fans, just hide in their rooms drooling?

It's interesting. I do go on about how we have to destroy the tweentards, but I see so little of them I worry that it's merely a phantom threat or something. Does anyone else feel this way, or do these people really walk the streets in drones? Is the company I keep just that good?

Are we the minority? I'd say I know we are, but it's becoming less apparent all the time.
You are not a tween boy or girl or have a Lolita complex so that's why you don't know many fans.

Yeah we have a much more intelligent demographic for the most part (emphasis placed on for the most part) than they do so our arguments are generally better worded and better backed by facts. As for weapons I call the experimental MIRV.

As for other people talking about how music has degraded, I believe Steven Wilson said it best in the song "Sound of Muzak": "One of the wonders of the world is going down
It's going down I know
It's one of the blunders of the world that no-one cares
No-one cares enough"
Yes I did copy and past from a lyric site.

Hm, so, hopefully this will die in a fire sometime in the near future?

No answers for the DDO question? I hate making question threads for something so minuscule... wait, I know where to ask-

That's just the Escapist. On average most people on this site are twenty something, single, grumpy males. I doubt they'd love to have a sing and dance about a mainly female aimed singer.

So.. Twilight is basically Anne Rice for body-conscious, insecure emo girls, or so I am led to believe.

Why are we complaining that we can't find anyone that likes these to the point of drooling fervor?

Well, you obviously wouldn't find any on THIS kind of website. And in real life, you still wouldn't find any unless you were in school (which I am, unfortunately).

My fucking algebra teacher has a picture of Edward on her wall. No joke.

You want minority? I liked the first three Twilight books and I'm a guy. Trust me when I say that I don't admit to that too often. I'll probably never watch the movies though. Gotta have some pride in my gender.
