The OP is saying that he hates people who hate things. *slow clap* That's a really good way to make stop people hating things. The human mind is more drawn to dark and evil things, and those things make for more popular news. Oh, and I highly listening The World at Large, followed by Float On, in that order. They're both by Modest Mouse and the shift in tone just makes you feel warm inside and happy about everything.
So, in order to combat people who whine about love and break-ups, you bring up a personal story about love and break-ups?
As much as that title was so devoid of irony... I FULLY AGREE with you. This community is terrible when it comes down to love before the age of... quite old actually. It saddens me, and I'm glad you have said something. The Escapist needs to learn that a little positive reinforcement won't KILL THEM ALL... jeesh.

I agree, I think it's a significant minority but minority none the less who are misanthropes, any "lost faith in humanity" posts will normally be out-numbered by rebukes. As a community we're a mix of all sorts really and when threads touch on the topic, despite our "most people are introverts" attitude the majority of posters do have a life outside of the internet.Knusper said:

Misanthropy is an immature stance. Perhaps a stance of distrust towards people until they have proven themselves trustworthy can be justified, but an outright and intense hatred of all people simply for existing is damaging.
