You know you're a nerd when you try to learn Japanese just so you can watch Anime without the subs.

You know you're a nerd when you choose a night indoor playing your online game then a night going to a bar where there will be plenty of women hanging out.

When you surf TvTropes and comprehend everything.
I do that, mainly because it is crack written in HTML.

And you know you're a nerd when you didn't revise for an ICT GCSE and did better than the majority of the class.

When you rant on and on about how awesome seasons 1-4 of Doctor who is, while simultaneously ranting on and on about how bad seasons 5 onwards is......Gpoy. Also when you decide that you shall completely restart ME2 because you missed one small fetch quest/ side mission.

When stories like this makes your heart skip.

[link]http://shirt.woot.com/friends.aspx?k=player-2-a-love-story-long-sleeve-tee[/link]
?I?m Tommy,? I said as I sidled up to her at the machine and slid a couple tokens into the slot. ?Tommy Topscore.?

She never gave me a name or looked away from the screen. She just stood there and waited as I chose my character. ?Shh. Don?t talk. Play.?

She knew just which buttons to press and in all the right combinations. I tried desperately to hold my own against the tide of leetness she unleashed against me, but round after round, fight after fight, coin after coin, I found myself completely pwned. She was a force of digital nature and I was just her latest victim. It was only with my last two tokens that I was able to finally defeat her in a bout of pulse-pounding, breath-taking intensity that I hadn?t felt since the day I completed Zelda for the first time.

It was then that she turned to me, grabbed me by the collar, and pulled me in for a kiss that had me tilting. My head went kill screen. I could feel my heart meter filling up with every second our lips touched. I felt like I?d jumped to the top of the flagpole and was sliding down as fireworks erupted all around me.

When it was over, she looked up at me with a smile and asked, ?Continue?? I told her I had an Atari 2600 back at my place. She laughed. ?Sounds nice. I?ve been wanting a little more Adventure in my life.? Then she grabbed my hand and led me out of the arcade.

The next morning, she was gone. She left no name, no phone number, just a few tokens on the nightstand. I was just a game to her, I guess. I never saw her again after that night, but I?ll never forget her. Especially with this scorching case of Yars? Revenge.

The words frak and gorram are parts of your vocabulary.

You spend more time with people over the internet than people in real life

You aren't only aware of what base 2 and base 16 are, you fully understand their mathematical significance.

You have a favourite code or are able to discuss at length which code is best suited to your purposes.]

The subject of Mario always arises during drinking. (I have no idea why this happens, it just does.)

You know you're a nerd when you can spend a full 40 minutes analyzing a fanbase... then post it online...

Also when you can make a connection between a cartoon character and the Xoroths from WoW...
I watched a bit of it (Section regarding "Haters gonna hate" and other dismissive bullshit) and I liked it..

But it's way, way too long. There's more than one part too!? I just don't have the time to go through all of what you said. I don't think you should stop, what I saw I agreed with wholeheartedly, but I can't believe you have 40 minutes worth of rant over MLP.

I don't know if anyone brought this to attention yet but...

Nerd=/=Geek

This topic should have Geek in the title and not Nerd.
If they're not the same why should it have geek in the title? Why can't you just post nerdy things instead of geeky if you think there is a big difference? I'd consider a lot of the replies nerdy rather than geeky.

...when your iPod is mostly made up of game soundtracks.
...when you try and think of crossovers that you think that would work.
