That ain't what happens when you play too much computer games. that just happens normally. when your hands are sitting idle and empty yet your thumbs are still twiddling invisible sticks, then its time to start worrying.
No, that(what I was referring to) is not normal, it may look like they're holding something like a burger, but when you have you index fingers for the trigger buttons and thumbs on the sticks, that is what I mean by holding a controller.

...Have you ever compensated for lag irl? Or felt you may need to. This makes driving very unsettling.
Now you mention it I do this all the time without thinking about it, people tell me to slow down it's weird

i've ( and this is where it gets odd ) attempted and succeeded at watching things happen in high speed by concentrating and focusing on where i know an object will be, such as a droplet of water and getting a glimpse of it as it passes through that little field of vision

BULLET TIME IRL, for real, go try it focus on a droplet of water coming from a tap, where it will be in mid flight and you really can see it drop like a slow-mo image

You see yourself walking in such a manner you only do so in games.

When I screw up IRL and I immidiately look for the Load Last Save feature.

When I see a Reputation Meter beside someones head whenever I'm speaking to them.

bioshock 2 reference then? i know the food does that, although if you found a 10 year old packet of crisps i doubt you'd pick it up and scoff the whole thing - including the wrapper - in one big crunch without picking it up at all, just having it dissappear
The character in Bioshock 2 eats things despite having a face plate and air-tight helmet on. With this in mind, eating a ten year old candy-bar I'd think would be the least of your logic conundrums.

My sentiments exactly.

Sometimes I come here more often than I do actually playing games.

Intriguing...

When I was out shopping I thought "Only one more thing on the list, then I can use my hearthstone to get home.". I was said when I realized A, I did not have one, B, That I had to get home the "normal" way.
And then you start looking for the nearest flight path, just to find out that there isn't one in the nearby area that your map could discern for you, considering that some of it is shaded and smudged.
Then you start shaking your hands around an invisible ball in front of you, just to realize that you weren't level 20 yet and you were on your alt, not your main.

When performing any real life activity that is fun, you find yourself thinking how great it would be to play a game that emulates this activity.

When you find yourself watching out for Pyramid Head sneaking up on you.

When you can recall button names that go along with a certain series of moves.

When you know by heart any series of button presses beside the Konami Code.

When you get the Tetris effect. (You begin to hallucinate images from a game in your peripheral vision, like Tetris blocks or RTS miners, during dreams or while awake.)

When I realize that I've spent about 9 hours sitting in front of the TV and have only played through about 2% of the story mode in that entire period (dicking around in the game world)

I have a couple....

You know you are a true gamer when....

When you have been playing realistic modded ArmA with your clan for too long, and then when you are playing brandy (like ball tiggy/tag but where you use a tennis ball and pelt it at each other) with some friends and you crouch down low and order them to move out and begin suppressive fire upon the tangos..... I said that once, and then I was looked at funny. :(

When playing a REAL game with someone, you start doing things from games.
I.E.
I was playing brandy (again) and when I saw my friend who was IT/had the ball I instantly went into the Animus and was parcore and free running in no time. My friend stopped and stared as I ran along a wall and climbed to the roof.... and then thought about ripping down some posters to lose my noritey.

You try to save your written homework onto a USB.

And last....
Having a bag packed for the zombie apocalypse, having a plan for it, and of course the moment you walk into any area I automatically look for exits, places to be barricaded, rescue vehicles, safe rooms, weapons and other likely survivors. I think I might have played too much L4D2...

And as for my plan, well, it goes thus:

Get the dog, get the family, get the friends, get the car, get the weapons, get to police airport and fly the police helicopter out of there. Then go to my cousins dairy farm and barricade it. He is a competitor... he is a survivor..... he is LIL_RIMMMMMMMMY!!!

Hehe, luckily for me when my dad showed me the new hanger he let my fly the sim chopper.... which is a helicopter that you sit in and you get to fly around Melbourne in a fake world!

Yeah.... I need a doctor....

It's even worse than that. When assembling friends together, I think of it as requesting members to my party. No, we already have a healer, we shouldn't ask him to come. Remember the max party size is 4.

In college, when I did this to form a study group, I kind of view the exam as a boss we were trying to defeated. So obviously party selection varied with the type of exam boss. The healers/bards would keep group motivated. The Tank/Fighter would ask all the stupid questions and make sure everything was reviewed. And then different elemental attackers and buffers to cover whatever subjects the exam boss would be weak to. And then when the once exam boss was defeated, you would level up and possibly unlock new abilities.
