At the time pokemon blue and red were new I played so much I had nightmares of being caught with a pokeball and stuff every night so I almost completely quit for quite a long time.
Ah, the fun of youth.

Actually I don't remember any recent examples though. I guess I just learned from that experience.

Well, this counts more towards "binging" on the Internet, but one time I was with my friend and he told me a joke, and I said "LOL", aloud.

He thought I was insane...

Whenever I write or draw something I have this sensation that I absolutely must hit ctrl+s or bad things will happen.

When you try the final boss 3 times in a row, and with the mixture of dying, grinding, and the final run, it takes you about 4 and a half hours to finish... and it was all worth it.

I love you, Persona 3.
Man, that last month was brutal. What am I supposed to do? [sub][sub]Grind.[/sub][/sub] [sub]Grind.[/sub]Grind.GRIND.
It was worth it, though.

EDIT (again): When you walk around town looking for climbable surfaces.
Thanks Assassin's creed.
Assassin's Creed and Mirror's Edge. Every building I pass is now assessed for climbing potential

Courtesy of every aim-down-sight FPS ever, I twitch my left index finger slightly if I'm looking at something in the distance (or aiming at something during archery)

Do not approach groups of people who may trigger cutscenes unless you're sure you've done everything else in the room.

When I find myself mashing the quicksave button every few minutes, even when I'm just surfing the Internet.

Also, playing Mirror's Edge always makes me pay more attention to red objects.

In high school, I thought I saw health packs in the corners of the hallway.

A week ago, I was walking to work and I heard a "Sssssssssssssssssss....." so I started backpedaling and I swung my fist. It was a sprinkler hitting a bush. I also heard a water splash sound in a song while I was reading something, and I almost immediately grabbed my mouse and started clicking in an effort to find a cave.

Also, for an entire week earlier this year, I was hearing Zubat cries almost constantly.

When you want to play for 2 hours, THINK 2 hours have passed then find that 5 have.

When you shut off the game and can still see everything in the gameworld clearly when you blink.

When you begin to look at areas in Real Life and start mapping out how the Prince of Persia would navigate to the top.

When you hope and pray that tensing up your arm just enough will produce a fireball!

For me it's when I look at real life and think to myself, good graphics! Which seriously has actually happened more than once.

I realized I played too much portal when I caught my self looking for walls that looked like I could shoot a portal onto.
I was like "hey that wall looks like I could make a portal on it... wait, I'm at school..."

You know you've been playing too much WoW when you go outside after playing for 6 hours , see a girl that looks like a Night Elf and want to press '2' to throw a lightning bolt at her ( true story )

Ha, I forgot until some people mentioned it, but thanks to far too much Mirror's Edge, I often look at any red objects or ledges and think about how I'd climb it. At my college, there's a box-like protrusion on the side of the theater building that's about shoulder height, and a series of red bars a few feet above and to the side of it that are just like the vertical bars that you climb/jump from in Mirror's Edge.

It took an embarrassing amount of willpower to not start scaling the building.

EDIT: Oh, I also saw some flowers that looked exactly like peacebloom. My first thought was, "too bad I'm not an herbalist!"

I came face to face with a friend (Edit: After walking about a corner) the other day. My first instinct was to jab the knife i had with my food into him...
