basically the topic explains it all. You buy a game with loads of hype or you have been looking really forward to, you play it and is just completely letdown.

This isn't going to be yet another thread bashing MW2 is it? This topics been done to death, the game came out almost a year ago, if you didn't like it then just get over it.kidwithxboxlive said:

That's ok then... for me Red Steel 2 was a disappointment, the graphics and the fighting was much nicer than the original but it lost all of the odd japanese criminal underground charm that made me love the original.kidwithxboxlive said:

That game actually broke my spirit, I never get exited about anything now. Even Guild Wars 2 makes me merely raise my head slightly. And they didn't do ANYTHING. Literally nothing. One of the biggest game modes in the game and they do nothing. They didn't even lie. They openly said they did nothing. NHL 11 atleast tried.
- Mercenaries 2. Glitchfest. It had some good ideas. But blow it a lot. Enemy ai was bad. Allied ai was worse.

That's not true, I haven't played Reach. Just spicing up a repeat thread.

Actually, Halo 3 at least probably was a disappointment for me. In all fairness, it didn't stand a chance. Some of my friends are the biggest Halo enthusiasts out there, some of them loving the series since the first game.
It would have to be the game of the century to live up to all the praise and satisfy someone who doesn't like FPS's a great deal.
Also Final Fantasy VIII. I downloaded it for a nostalgic friend off the PSN for his PSP and though I'd try it myself.
The combination of information overload and me being a bit thick ensured I couldn't play it for 15 minutes without thinking I'd rather be staring at a wall. And this was meant to be one of the good ones.
RDR, HURRY THE FUCK UP!, copy paste landscape, little sheep main character, most weapons are the same with a few stand out ones, boring missions, luck based games are actually based on how much your willing to bet (lower the bet the higher the chance of winning) and annoying grind side quests (collect 500 rabbit furs).
EDIT, theres also the stupid horse mechanics, one they do they dick move were they run away when you get near them, then when your on the fucker, you have to tap a button ... why not make it go full throttle unless you push the stick forward slightly?
These are just annoying niggles but all of them combined to make it only worth 4 hours of my time.

I haven't actually ever been let down by a game. I was a little let down when they took the mp3 player out of saints row 2 so I couldn't run around and listen to music I had to use my car radio. If I had to stress it I'd have to say I was let down by Time shift. I thought it would have Nazis.
