Although it was a great game, I have to say the ending to Prince of Persia: Sands of Time ticked me off a bit. There's spoilers coming, but to hell with spoiler tags, this game's too old for them, just hold your breath and keep scrolling if you don't want to see.

So you go through all that trouble fighting for your life, establishing a relationship with a beatiful (although pixelated) woman, only to reverse everything you just did, resulting in her forgetting all about you? Yes the whole game comes full circle once you realise that what you're playing is actually the story the Prince is telling Farah, which is one of the game's fantastic touches, but it did leave me pissed at first, as in "what the hell? I just risked my life a jizzillion times for her and I will probably not even get into her pants because she doesn't remember me? CRAP!"

Also a few quests in Morrowind and likewise games left me with an unsatisfactory feeling because I lost more expensive equipment (potions, spell scrolls, lockpicks) braving that whole dungeon the past 1.5 hours than that shitty 250 gold reward could ever pay for.

I can't argue with that, but I expected more of a fight.

After all, he is the Pope.
I'm sorry but what?! The pope? Put up a fight? Popes are generally pretty old and frail and while the one in AC2 isn't exactly frail he is pretty out of shape.

Fable III -
you amass funds for your amazing army to fight the darkness only to have no troops around (that are alive at least) and have to do all the work your self. Then for the crawler it's just a case of circling the possessed Walter and firing your gun...the same way you beat all enemies

Amen! That was horrid. Pick your poison, no going back in a free-roam-centric game? Not to mention the bushes and night time didn't help conceal your for crud!
To the point: Bioshock and SW TFU 1, you die or you become the emperor's little slave. How fantastic. Great ending that.
Bioshock because the boss, and the game, were a tad too easy for my liking.
I wouldn't have gone back to free roam if they had allowed me.....not even if they PAID me, in fact.
anyway, Bioshock's ending was good. it wasn't mind-blowing, but it was okay and being easy shouldn't really make you hate the ending, should it?
Didn't hate it, but I thought the battle was a little anti-climactic for the game. It was a really good game, but the end was rather easy to get to. I am just used to games that have a steady difficulty curve with a sudden, small jump for the last battle I guess.

But still a good game I will agree.

KOTOR II. 'Nuff said.
Has Obsidian actually delivered a good ending to any of their games?
what was wrong with alpha protocol? the main baddy was up top in a room with a rocket launcher and he had lots of baddies on the floors and stairs going after you, and getting up to that point was pretty good too, and in the end you make the choice on what happens and how it all ends, so its not bad imo, nothing jaw dropping but not bad for multiple ending possibilities.

Assassin's Creed 2, the last level is too linear and the final boss fight was nowhere near challenging.
Just the very idea that you sneak into the Vatican, challenge the Pope to fisticuffs and kick his ass is awesome in itself.
I can't argue with that, but I expected more of a fight.

After all, he is the Pope.
I think you mean

Hesa The Freakin Pope!"

Ok cool, it wasn't too easy for me cause i wasn't too good with the Plasmids and tried using only the crossbow, rocket laucher, and incinerate... it's not as easy then.

*****, you for real? the final cutscene wasn't just the end, it was just the cap to the epic story before, or did you skip every cutscene and watch the end? either way, whatever your opinion, you have to admit, watching that ***** fall to her death was cathartic on SO MANY LEVELS.

the only thing that ever pissed me off was kotor after the ending. you couldn't do jack shit after. you couldn't go rule the galaxy you just made your ***** or teletubby kingdom so what's the fucking point??!!! srsly, bioware, make a free roam game and LET US ROAM. don't put us in a box and say, oh, too bad, you finished. now DO IT AGAIN. and you will because bioware games absorb your soul.

Considering that the first game had you fighting what I swear was an entire freaking army before facing off against the big boss assassin who clones himself, I was expecting more out of AC2's ending.

Where were the Papal Guards during all of that? They should have come out and fought you, that would have made a much better climax than punching out an old fat dude in single combat.

Can't really think of anything, but I know what DIDN'T do it. The final mission in the Orc campaign of Warcraft II.
The enemy? The biggest base you've seen in the entire game, taking up the top third of the mini-map.
The objective?
DESTROY ALL THAT YOU BEHOLD IN THE NAME OF THE HORDE.
Badass.
