Dead Space, Fallout 3, Street Fighter 4 are all ones i will eventually complete when i have the time to dedicate.

FF 12 on the other hand i have no intention of completing because the final chapter of the game is so bastard boring!

Final Fantasies 7 and 12. 7 because I couldn't beat Demon Wall. By the time I beat Demon Wall, I had lost the second disc. By the time I found the second disc, I had lost my memory card. Now I have my memory card and am confident I know where the second disc is, so once I am out at my camp where my PS2 is, I'm set.

I haven't beaten 12 because my party was fundamentally flawed; I had just bogged down my three characters with all the spells and technicks I could as opposed to creating a balanced team. So I tried to start a new game, but Vaan's voice annoys me too much.

I have never finished Okami, and I got it fairly soon after it was released.

WHAT, it is one of my favorite games of all time and i completed it within the first 3 days. ITS SO EASY! what are you stuck on?
I'm in the same situation, but I'm not exactly stuck. I'm very, very early on in the game (about two hours) anyway, I'm working as a bounty hunter right now, but the monsters only come out at night, so I've found myself bored by this.
keep playing worth it its ends up a huge amount of hours something like 40hours if your good and the game gets better and better.

Well not frustrated, more bored. I stopped Prototype, Infamous and Prince of Persia(2008) all about 3/4 then I picked them up a couple of weeks ago and finished them off.

I never could get close to finishing Grand theft auto III...I would always have a car catch fire running from the police between missions going so fast and I couldn't bail out, the car would explode before I could stop. Then before I was even a third of the way through the game I heard about Vice city and got excited over the fact that I would no longer have the same trouble, bought the game, gave GTA 3 to my brother and now that I think about it...I really wish I would have finished it D:

And Area 51, It would freak me out so I couldn't get passed the beginning...which was odd because I was fine watching other people play it.

This very night I finished Starcraft, finally!!!

From a particular stage in the Protoss campaign, the difficulty curve skyrockets. That point being the reason why I never got around to finishing it years ago.

Of important note: In the acknowledgements section of the ending credits, they cited "420" among the list of names. That explains so much...

I never finished Chrono Cross, mainly because every time I start plying it again, I always start back at the beginning.

I just finished Portal. Yes, I've seen the ending before, and all that. Thing is, I bought it about a year and a half ago, and have had it installed, have played it, but got stuck on Chamber 18 (I couldn't get the timing right). Something got into my head during the week that made me REALLY want to finish it off, so I loaded it up yesterday, hoping to jump straight in where I left off. That's when I was reminded of the fact that I had done a system wipe, and my savegames were gone. 'No big deal,' I thought. 'I've gotten that far before, I can do it again.' So I did. And then I went on and finally completed the game today.

Of course, that was just a little bit of irrelevant backstory that leads into my point:

The Point:
Have you ever gotten frustrated with a game, or had a new game come along and distract you, so that you set it aside, but then, at a later stage, found yourself thinking "Man, I really should finish that game" ?

And, as a secondary question, how long have you set aside a game for before completing it (One's you haven't completed don't count)?

EDIT: OK, Games you've still not finished count too...
Um, yes, all the time! I've managed to milk both Morrowind and Oblivion for years. But the longest I've set a game aside and seriously come back to was about 6-9 months. The bad thing is that I'm often mid-game and lost some of the skills and not up to surviving the larger battles once I pick it back up and have to re-start. (Jade Empire)

You know what, most games that i get really stuck on I finish, because of said sticking. I was known for it amoungst my peers, for one main reason, the cats eye missions from robotech battle cry, I am the only one of my friends to pass the mission without the use of cheats or dodge tatics, I did them all legit and more than once. Anyone who has played said missions know how much of a pain it is to get through them.

Oh and the first armoured core, I beat the last mission with 9ball in it, killing him both times (yeah for some reaon, you kill him in the first silo thing, then he comes back later in the 2nd).

I usually dont finish games not cause im stuck, more cause im bored :|

FarCry 2. Too boring and pathetic to bother. Once I got into the second half and realised it was exactly the same, I stopped playing it.

Secret of Mana. I loved that game. Then it decided to glitch and get my character stuck, preventing me from ever continuing. At that point I was near the end, and I was too disheartened to redo it all.

There is only one game on my "To Finish" list that got left in the dust to never be picked up again. Final Fantasy XII.

I'm in the final dungeon, on my way to kill the final boss, but then I started playing WoW, and three years later I still haven't beaten the damned thing.

I wanna play Myst but won't run on a 64-bit OS.

UT2K4 has a really short campaign tbh, about 1 hour to complete at a sensible pace. Lure of the temptress is amazing but never got past about 20% of it

I haven't finished Killzone 2, I got stuck at this part where I got stuck with a shotgun, and I was surrounded by ten Helghast who opened fire the moment I spawned. I rent games with gamefly, so I leave games unfinished more often than not. I listed Killzone 2 since I actually do intend to finish it.
