Castlevania I set aside for a year because of the hard as hell final stages.
Final Fantasy 8 I put down for maybe 10 months because I got to the last level and all my stats were crap.
And I put down Izuna: Legend of The Unemployed Ninja for maybe a year because of the even harder than hell last dungeon.

I went back to finish Stalker: shadow of chernobly recently. Got distracted by ARMA 2 and them MW2. Got further then I did before but I still haven't beaten it.
