So I tripped. Big deal. If people started laughing or something, which I doubt would happen, I'd probably say "Tada!" and pose for them.

Usually I slip more than I trip. Either way, I just get up, dust myself off, re-adjust my jacket, check my hat is in place, adjust my watch, check my shoe-laces... and if anyone asks why I'm doing such an elaborate procedure, respond with "Well I already stopped walking, I might as well make the most of this pause."

That's right. You tripped on a bit of pavement and staggered a bit you handsome/beautiful fool! It's a pretty public place, daylight and you felt several heads swing to look at you. What do YOU do next?

Personally I tend to shoot an accusing glance at where I tripped, no idea why, then swear under my breath and shake my head.

EDIT: I ask because today I saw a teenage girl trip up, scream and go stamp on where it happened. Interesting.

I do the same thing or i stand up real straight, and slowly walkaway lookin all cool and smooth.
