Actually, we're on 4th dimension now. We can move our pants around our bodies, through the fourth dimension and our days of dropping trousers are over! (cookie for reference )
Modern Warfare, both parts would be my favourite (/dodge flames, I mean the singleplayer). Also very much loved the Battlefield series (except for Bad Company), but that's largely because of the appeal of vehicle combat mixed in.
Team Fortress 2. Any game that can keep me interested for 750 hours and still keeps me coming back daily needs to have some sort of special award.
Borderlands takes a well deserved second place though. Massive amount of fun, but wears thin after a while, even more so if you have no friends to play it with.
It looks promising but shiny pretty game trailers are a way to cover up piles of donkey shit. But on the other hand, if all you have in the game is shiny and pretty then you shouldn't make a donkey shit trailer should you?
Well one of my biggest problems with what the trailers are presenting is the fact that DE:HR seems to be relying too much on pre-rendered and pre-scripted animation rather than the game play it's self, you know Deus Ex has never been about the presentation it's always been about the content and design and the developers seem to be missing the point and skimping out on the RPG and choice elements to concentrate on the flashier parts but than again the trailer just has to appeal to enough people so it could be they aren't highlighting the right parts of the game to the fan base...
I choose to remain positive. Perhaps they are purposefully not releasing a ton of game content to keep a lid on things to keep everyone guessing. That isn't really a first in gaming history is it?

I'm just hoping they're not trying to market this game at the wrong audience because if they screw over the fans chances are they aren't going to be very successful... and I'm going to RAGE!!!
Without a single down, the MGS series. They are each masterpieces, each divulging into different, interesting subjects such as memes, genes, scene, the illuminati plot, gene manipulation, the violence of warfare, the irrelevance of enemies, and the morality of warfare, to name I few I spotted. Each character has a past, hobbies, ideals; all of these things make me genuinely interested in them, and genuinely saddened if they die. The gameplay itself is fun, intuitive and free. Various strategies can be used, and using the various items is easy, and quick. The Codec provides the most interesting system I have seen so far in a game, allowing for a hints system as well as a means to know more about the plot, various characters, items, weapons, and current objective. There is no need for a compass, an objective screen, and other such things. Just the player, the pause menu, and the Codec. All of this is without mentioning the perfect timing of the various jokes and puns, and the pure devastating emotions blows the series inflicts upon you.
People that say that the series is boring, and that cutscenes are long, miss the point of the entire Saga completely. I dare anyone who has played all 4, (not 6, don't worry) games, to respond, and tell me they didn't cry, or come very close to at any point during the series.
"What's wrong with E.E.?"
"I understand now. I wasn't waiting to kill someone. I was waiting for someone to kill me."
I know this is a billion years old and outdated, but Doom. Doom will NEVER age for me. I make maps, I play maps, I play online, I even have a clan for the game still. It says something that such a dated shooter that has been surpassed in every way can still have millions of players keeping it alive. It's also a good time waster, if I'm bored I'll download or generate a map (For people who are in the Doom community, check out the Oblige level generator. It can actually generate some pretty fun levels and each version has cool new features.) and blast some demons old school style.
