Your best experience with a FPS

My best experience with a first-person shooter would have to be Halo 3. The campaign(although short) was pretty fun, and reasonably difficult on legendary. Custom games has a lot possibilities, and is fun to play with friends. Matchmaking is pretty good for a shooter game.(especially with today's standards) So, that's my best FPS experience. What's yours?

Resistance 2 co-op was pretty fun too.

Medal of Honor: Frontline was brilliant.

Half-Life 2, i put it on at 10pm sat in bed and zoned out. Literally the next time i took my eyes off the screen, the sun was rising and the birds were out, it was 7am, i thought id been abducted or something the time just vanished. I WAS Gordon Freeman that night.

The first Halo blew me away at the time, it really was 'Combat Evolved' (cheesy and I don't care)
Halo 2 online back on the first Xbox was the peak of my online shooting days
Also Bioshock's first hour was the best start to any game I've ever played
Aaaand all of Fallout 3, all 150+ hours I've spend on it

QFT. Especially the sigh. A combo of balanced Multiplayer, a genuinely interesting single player, and some of the tightest, most responsive controls in the genre? Yes please.

So sad that the only thing preserved in the sequel was the controls.

I loved the campaign... it was adrenalin filled from start to finish for me. The multi is great with a private lobby.

As for me... Half Life 2, my first playthrough I did the 3 episodes in one go via Orange Box and was totally blown away.
