Battlefield 2. Two IRL friends in a locked squad with snipers running around wrecking havoc. And no, we didn't just sit on a hill. Usually we took a buggy and drove in the middle of the battle.

CoD: United Offensive with huge map and 60 players. That was really cool.

On single player side I'd say Bad Company 1 and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect! Awesome and fun campaigns cleared more than once.
This except for SP it would be Crysis

Goldeneye splitscreen on our beloved N64, or Perfect Dark a few years later.

A couple of days ago, I had the most amazing moment in BF1943. I was flying the bomber and noticed a japanese flying towards me with a kamikaze-look in his eyes. Quickly I rose further up, and let off bombs hoping to hit him. And I did.
That most've been pretty awesome to witness as a ground unit, I tell myself.

Now this may be a bit of a suprise but...
Battlefield: Bad Company, the first one had an awesome campaign and and awesome mulitplayer.
The second one had a good campaign and even better multiplayer.

Half-Life 2. I played all of them and a lot of fps's since but nothing can compare the atmosphere, sound, enemy's, etc. Also it got me into hardcore gaming.
