What has been the best deal you have gotten for a game?

Whether it was a game or DLC you got cheap or maybe you found at a bottom of the bargain bin a gem of a game that you never knew existed.

Mine was getting Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition (with all DLC) for £5 (about $7.50 USD)

The Darkness, Darksiders and Just Cause 2 for a total of £15. Loved all three games, and intend to get the sequels for them as well.

I found a copy of Earthbound for 12 bucks (US) on ebay a couple weeks ago. Game usually goes for triple digits. A 20 dollar copy of FF VII last year was pretty sweet too. I also think that even years later, The Orange Box is still a hell of a bargain at $19.99

Orange Box.

$30.

Might not sound like a bargain, but bear in mind that I didn't already own HL2 and Ep1. So I got one really good game (TF2), one truly great game (HL2), two episodic sequels to the great game (Ep1, Ep2) and one of the best games ever made (Portal). For thirty bucks.

I call that a bargain.

Two or three years ago, whilst I was replacing the old games that I'd literally played to death I managed to buy a new copy of FFVII for £10. Still need to get the picture discs for them all resurfaced if I can, especially 9.

Skyrim at half price.

Kneel in awe.

OT: Probably Humble Indie Bundle 4. Paid $10 for what turned out to be 12 games, all of them amazing, and their soundtracks. Small wonder I'm keeping an eye out for the next bundle...

At the end of last summer, I got Borderlands for $5 from Steam. It was a sale.

Then, a few weeks ago, I got Dead Space for $5 from Steam. Again, on sale.

But the best bargain I ever got was when I got Mass Effect 2 in July 2010 for $24. This may not seem like much of a bargain, but when you consider that I'm on my eleventh playthrough of the game, it's definitely a bargain.

I went to buy Battlefield 3 at the midnight release and discovered I had £53 in loyalty points on my card. Got it for free essentially.

Paying massive interest in patience thanks to campers now though.

A total of 12.50 euros for Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2, plus 10 more for Battlefront 2. Also, Mass Effect 2 retail copy for 15 euros. Woot! Also, Team Fortress 2 and Portal for free off Steam.

Got CoD 4 MW, MW2, Red Orchestra 2 and a bunch of other games for free on Steam.

Why? Long story short, some dickweed had hijacked my account and apparently used it to buy them. I found out about the hijacking, contacted Steam Support and they swiftly returned my account to me, along with those games.

GTA Vice City for $7 on ebay, with the big strategy guide. It was right around the time San Andreas came out...before gamestop had completely gouged the market.

Discounting TF2 and its being free...

I'd say picking up both Portals for a combined price of $8.74. Possibly Psychonauts for $2.49.
