I built a fleet of ships that can fly in the air thanks to c neato mod
the fleet consists of...
An aircraft carrier complete with a functional bomber
A battleship with working TNT cannons
the Devastator: an airship with large ammounts of armor and 2 top mounted long range TNT cannons

I win the air battle >:D
(though that might be because the layer below the iron is all obsidian)

The best thing I've actually finished is my island-spanning underground canal. The ceiling is about 4-5 blocks below sea level, and in some places it's >20 blocks wide, all filled with water with stations under all of my main structures and mines.

And I'm still in progress on my giant fortress.

I made a 6 level castle with a huge 40x40x5 quarry underneath with a solid iron throne. Other than that, not much. I have made pixel art with Invedited wool for a class, but I am not the really "Make huge egregious stuff" kind of guy

I'm building an underground city. Digging/building without a inventory editor is a lengthy and boring process, but it pays off in the end. I'm just digging tunnels right now though, and using the double chests filled with cobblestone to build a city above ground(though I only have a castle for now). Wait! I'll go make some screenshots. I'll edit them in later.

EDIT: Never mind, I don't know how to upload them....

I've already built Sauron's tower and am currently working on a 3 floored 40 by 40 castle, it's massive.

My favorite project was called skytown (it no longer exists, since server shut down). As the name suggests, it was a massive town (somewhere aroun 256x256 upon completion) occupying the top 10-15 blocks of the map. It was all connected by a 20x20 wooden tower. There were 20-some odd homes, one for each member of the server, each customized in their own way (Members of the server gave me supplies in exchange for their homes). On the north end was a redstone park, which had 3 floors - 1st floor showed all the basic circuit types, 2nd floor was small projects, and 3rd floor was for my projects. On the east was a farmland, consisting of all the basic minecraft plants, with a "bar" at the end. The west was the storehouse, a large building where basic building supplies and tools were provided to new players on the server. The south consisted of a waterslide leading back down to the ground, right next to the underwater palace that I was also working on. The center also had a small park.

I rambled on too much...
@wapox - I really wish I could get into something else, but my desktop died and I am still waiting for new parts. In the meantime, minecraft away. (its also summer, so no dnd for me :( )

As far as completed projects go, I have one: An underwater automated minecart system that travels between the area I'm currently working on and the servers starting area. My current project is a castle (how orginal...) I've finished the walls and I'm now working on the internal stuff. Still pales in comparison to some of the other stuff on the server, though. A few guys are trying to make Stormwind from WoW and another guy has made an amazing cathedral (Hi Hyper!).

I am far from super creative. What I made is a tower high into the sky totally free. From the greyish stone. On top made wider that kinda created an imbalance so I made a sandstone "cradle" around it and I even made ribs with half sandstone. It has waterfalls, work areas, and new even a small room on top with a bed. Sunsets seem from the highest point :)

It does also have a tree growing against it..not that I planned it but I call that a free gift. The base of it is erm well lets just say I need to fill that area up again.
