My love's parents don't have her best interest at heart so I don't care for them. I've always gotten along extremely good with them, but they're dishonest people I prefer not to deal with.

OP, read

My boyfriends parents seem okay with me. When he first brought me back, they had a little chat with me while he went for a shower and they seemed fair. My mum did the same when he was at my house too. Apparently his mum isn't a very good parent anyway, so if she didn't like me, I shouldn't be offended.
Well, last time she rang my boyfriend, she asked him how I was doing... and I said I'd happily get her free food from work if she needed it.
My mum gets on with my boyfriend fine, they're just happy as long as I am. He gets on with my siblings too, my brother gave him the whole "you treat my sister right or *cracks knuckles*" and he doesn't have any siblings, so I get away with that.

I'm not sure about my girlfriend's dad...but her mom likes me, and I think she's pretty interesting, albeit a bit weird. They don't know that I'm dating their daughter, though, so I'll probably be hated when they do, and I think they suspect that I am already, so...
Her brother, I think he's okay with me.

Pr. sure my girlfriends Mum likes me. We get along ok normally, but if we're at some kind of family gathering and have had a bottle of wine or two we become kinda inseparable.

I'd say that as long as you don't suffer from mysterious stomach pains the day of or after eating there, you're probably safe.

I don't currently have a girlfriend, but the parents of a girl i've had a crush on for the last two and a half years absolutely adore me. Shame said girl "only thinks of me as a friend." :(
It was the same exact way with me and a friend of mine from highschool, only your two and a half years is more like five for me. I had actually given up dating when I met the girl that would be my current gf and we just clicked. Funny how things work out. It'll get better in time though.

They're okay with me now. At first they refused to even let me onto their property because of how much they hated me.

We're not 'friendly' with each other, but they can at least be civil, for the most part. You could still EASILY detect their dislike of my "lifestyle choice" as they put it, but at least they don't outright insult or refer to me as "that ******" anymore.

Back when I was first introduced to them though...yeah if they weren't bound by the law they'd have crucified me on their front lawn if they could of. It didn't help that the first time I met them was also the first time my boyfriend told them he was gay. For AGES they accused me of poisioning his mind and corrupting him with my satanic, unholy influence.

My ex's mum is an alcoholic and I'm pretty sure she pretended to like me...considering every time she drank the subject of conversation was always about me taking her son from her. My ex disliked the fact that I was never close to her, I even tried but just couldn't be comfortable. When he broke things off he tried to site this problem as one of the reasons for breaking up with me...bloody mumma's boy -_-

They seem to really like me. Her dad and I share a lot of music taste and get into a lot of conversations over the best Metallica album (it's Master of Puppets. He says it's Ride The Lightning. Heathen!), whether Sonisphere or Download is getting a better lineup and the like. For a guy in his 50's he's pretty up-to-date with his music tastes, and he's painfully funny too. Her mum thinks my accent is adorable (I find this a little annoying at times), but likes me because I'm well mannered and all that, and I'm usually happy to jam with her 13 year old son (he plays the guitar too well for his own good).

Sounds like your bf set that up to fail. It's rather ignorant to push it in their face that way rather than have a conversation with them first if he knew they would be upset.
Yeah it wasn't exactly the best way to go about it. But he knew they'd react badly both to him being gay and to him having a boyfriend. So I can see why he got them both out of the way at the same time.

My girlfriend's parents are nice people. Having grown up in a fairly dysfunctional family, it's great to be around a nice middle-class, hard-working and steadfast group of adults. I do feel like something of a peasant around them, but they never point out any class distinctions and whatnot.

Master of Puppets was what actually got me into music and was the first CD I bought. Not really relevent to this topic, but since you did mention it. XD

I've never had a good relationship with an ex's dad ever. I'm not even sure it's possible. In fact, anyone who tells me that it is is a liar. Fact

Where do i begin? Well my girlfriend comes from a very religious family. They are hardcore Christians which is weird because outside of social meetings and church they are always at each others throats. I'm not allowed in her bedroom at all when at her house, and they think that its the same at my house, they also think that we're both virgins.

I'm the mini me to her dad (minus the insane jew fro i have), he's a mega geek, loves violent games and movies and knows every meme under the sun. However he still resents me, he'll never admit to it but you can tell from his body language that he doesn't think im right for her (no one would be by his standards).
Her mum is a bit more understanding and seems to help us she can, but she can also be an evil *****. Many a time she has planned something and forced my girlfriend to go so that i can't see her.
As for her sisters they both love me, the youngest loves me because im mental and the middle child loves me because i smuggle in anime and manga for her.
O and the extended family love me as well which is awesome, last Christmas they defended me when a huge argument broke out between me and the father-in-law.
Well your girlfriend is like 11, bro. LOL I joke, I joke. But no, she is 11

My Girlfriends folks think I'm a racist. It's like the old joke goes, you build a hundred bridges, you're a great bridge builder. You build a hundred boats, you're a great boat builder. But you tell one slightly racist joke at a 4th of July barbecue...
You're a slightly racist joke teller?

I've never really had the "my girlfriend's parents hate me!" mostly because I'm insanely likable.
I can never tell if these "I'm so great posts" are joking or not. I hope they're jokes.

Anyway, I don't have a girlfriend as of right now so ... you know. It is possible that this question doesn't apply to me.

My GF's father is no-longer with us, he died a few weeks before we got together. Her mother liked me when I was just "the friend", but we announced it today and she was pretty pissed off.

Hopefully, she'll go back to liking me though.
