There's been a good few of these, but Alone in the Dark will always stand out as my most disappointing game ever... just got sick of it shortly after putting it in.
Usually, I just get pissed off with games that I complete in one evening.
[looks at Mirror's Edge & WET sat on the shelf - one of you are going back to the shops next week]

I thought it was fun. Gamecube right?

Empire Earth 3, I swear, Its warcraft3 but with only humans and no funny jokes. Far downhill from 20+ civs, 15 ages, and more.

the first one was awesome. so i expected the second one to be just as aweomse...epic fail
also...mirror's edge..i LOVE the gameplay but it was so..short i completed it in 4 hours on hard...
aaaand condemned 2 :/
SO LAME..it had some intense "suprise-suprise-there's-a-monster-moments"..but nothing more
also the fighting was lame..i just kicked those enemies in the balls all the time.

eh when I first Bought KoTOR. I expected some sort of third person shooter and didn' treall stufy up on it. I was kinda ticked having some rpg...

I ended up loving it later on but not when I just bought it...
Same here. I thought it was going to have the same control scheme as Jade Empire. I was going to sell it back, but ended up giving it another shot one night and now it's one of favorite games of the last console generation.

Mass Effect
As soon as I bought, found out it didn't work on my computer

Fatal Frame II
As Scary as finding out my mother was behind me and she screamed. If I wanted things randomly appearing i'd play TF2 on an ALL spy server.

Dawn of War II
the scenarios are terrible, all groups are the same.

When I buy a game, and the disk is scratched or some shit and it doesn't work.

I'm looking at you, Super Paper Mario.

The new Kingdom Under Fire game. I thought it was like the original (which was really cool), but it was a really crappy RPG.

I was pissed. I took it back to Gamestop and demanded my money back. The guy started to say something, but he looked at the game and said "Oh God, I'm sorry sir. Give me your address and I will refund your game and give you a discount on your next purchase." That should tell you something.

Compared to 007 on the N64 it was a huge let down though. I mean I know we all hate Bond, well I mean a lot of us hate Bond, and the idea of playing as someone who kills him is great, but few games have ever re-captured the magic of 007. It was the level design, the freedom of play, the multiplayer, the character choices for the multi-player, the guns, and oh the fun the fun.

Oh! And the ability to set both characters to 1 hit point so that a single shot would kill them, it made it more thrilling for me and my cousin. I kicked his ass in that game!

operation flashpoint 2 - omg I can't believe what they did to this. this could have been amazing cept codemasters couldn't give a shit about the customer and threw together some old bullshit game in the last week and labelled it as the single player campaign (takes around 4 hours to complete). still havent managed to get onto a multiplayer game as of yet.

Spore - same as the above really. wasted potential,
