Buy a new game, open the box, install the game, enter your CD key and it says: "Sorry this activation code has already been used!"

Unskippable cutscenes right before really hard parts. With no checkpoint in between.

So every time you fail you have to watch the cutscene again.

AAAAAAARRGG!

5. single player? whats that?

6. the new standard is all games are 4 hours long

7. no internet? no gaming for you!
These. I refuse to Play SC 2 because you need an internet connection to play it....and my comp is a pos that can't run it. But if i had the money to get a good laptop i would. And i would never hook it up to the internet so all info on it is private.
is it like ACII pre update where you have to be constantly connected as you play? or is it Post-update where you just need to be connected to launch?

anyway I guess that wouldnt annoy people so much as most of them are in it for the multiplayer

Pretty much these. Although I could probably live with number 1, as I've never limited myself to one platform anyway.

It would be kinda sad though wouldnt it?

anyway I was thinking if I did get a console Id probably have a hard time choosing what to get for what...Id feel guilty about abondoning my PC which would probably need to be upgraded anyway

I remember once I lost all my saves on a PS2 memory card because my step mom washed my pants and didn't check the pockets. That was a bad day...

Waking up and finding out that the only games in the world are motion controlled modern military FPS games.

The "death" of Triple A Titles. I want my games with loads of content in which i can immerse myself for weeks and i want to be able to fuck around with the game after i'm done with the Story. "Oblivion" was awesome. Shitty story, but you could mod the hell out of that game. "Mass Effect" was awesome. Great story, sadly there's not much to do after you're done.

I want my giant game worlds and i fear that these will die out if Companies can make just as much money or more with shorter games that you play once and be done with it.

ohhh yes this definetly this

I think however hopefully in regards to FPS they are going to realise at some point that cobbling together a 4 hour campgn then ass subpar multiplayer, gamers wont put up with that crap forever

I hope anyway

Gaming industry focus moving over to social and casual games.

EDIT: Also, motion controls and 3D becoming a standard in gaming.

Get really far in a game and realize you can't save because "there's not enough space on the memory unit" even though your save data was MINUSCULE four hours ago and was capable of fitting on said memory unit.

Yes. I'm experiencing that RIGHT now.

1. Gamers nitpicking the industry to death, resulting in Games only being "safe bets" of highly polished, but unimaginative Online-Shooters, Sports Games and GTA Rip-Offs

2. Import and/or posession of unreleased or banned games becoming illegal

3. Being Banned from Steam of Xbox Live due to some sort of mix up

4. All my drives and gaming mediums being erased by freak magnetic anomalies

5. All my gaming hard and software being destroyed by fire or other destructive forces.

6. Every and all games taking 10 Hours of playtime commitment only to become "good"

7. Every and all games taking 10 hours to finish...twice

Oh god somebody please make a spray tag mod....PLEASE. It's like Labyrinth only with feral ghouls instead of David Bowie.

My gaming nightmare is all RPG's becoming Final Fantasy 13...:<

Too many FPS games, I'm living it right now in fact. It seems every exciting new release is a FPS (a genre I can't get into for the life of me) meanwhile strategy RPG's and decent action games seem to be lacking more and more (and the ones that do come out tend to rely on some crappy gimmick to be any good).
