I kept telling myself to write down all my fixes but I never ended up doing so xD What exactly is the problem you're having? I'll see if I can jog my memory for some answers.lacktheknack said:DID YOU DO IT!? HOW!?
I'm having difficulties with the installation itself. Specifically, it snags and gets trapped on a "cyclic redundancy check". I think it's installing the same piece over and over again.Tilted_Logic said:I kept telling myself to write down all my fixes but I never ended up doing so xD What exactly is the problem you're having? One of the fixes I found that saved me HOURS of work was turning off DEP (Data Execution Prevention) for the Sims 3. I have Windows 7, so I'd: right click my computer > click properties > go to advanced tab > under the performance section click settings > click on Data Execution Prevention tab > click add... > navigate to The Sims 3 folder > Game folder > Bin folder > then select your Sims 3 executable file (not the launcher, but the .exe that will directly start the game) > click open > click apply and viola.
I had to do that for every expansion pack I got, but I haven't had any problems since. Let me know if that helps/what problems you're having though, it's a fun game![]()
