MW2: All of it. One of my favourite SP games ever, so much ridiculous fun - from seeing the Whitehouse destroyed to the EMP to the reveal of Captain Price. God I loved that game.

ME2: The ending.

FO3: Meeting the first Behemoth.

Plenty more, but those stick in my memory.

My most enjoyable "oh crap" moment was in Halo:Combat Evolved on PC ... i was flying a banshee in the ice levels ... reached the part where you need to land and open a huge door and try to get to the core of the Ring world Control System .. and once that door opens numerous Grunts and Elites will come from the inside .. one in particular was the Yellow Elite wielding a plasma sword .. since i was playing on legendary and knew he was there .. i decided to use my advantage of having a banshee to wipe them out .. so i landed near the door switch .. opened the gate .. ran back to my Banshee .. and prepared for a welcoming attack of warm plasma into the incoming hordes of aliens.

Door opens ... i blast away killing few grunts and few of the normal elites .. but guess who was spearheading the alien force .. the sword elite .. and he took the initial blast head-on .. ran right through it (looking damn epic) ... losing only his shields .. i panicked .. tried to pull back and fly higher then shoot at him again .. but the lunatic knew what he was doing .... at the moment the back of my banshee hit a pillar near the entrance and i got stuck .. he lunged in the air with his sword (spartan style) .. landed on top of my floating Banshee (while it is 3~4 meters high in mid-air) .. and stabbed me though the cockpit cover .. banshee falls to the ground crumbling with my corpse .. it hit the ground with that guy still on top .. and before i pit my jaw back in place he was doing a "king-kong" chest war dance on top of my crashed banshee and corpse .. i swear i never saw it coming .. and it never happened again (and i played the game SP campaign over a dozen times).

For me those "oh crap" totally random moments is the main reason i loved Halo (there are a couple more of random "totally awesome" moments i had in Halo) .. that sword elite thing alone is worth all the boring heavily scripted events crap from other FPS games.

One really great shocking revelation for me happened a few months ago in regards to Mass Effect 2. Now see I think I've made it quite clear that my favorite female character and romantic partner is Ashley... but recently in shock and awe I realised who my second favorite was:

Yes, Jack. I had gone in expecting to dislike Jack and to complain about her swearing and her tattoos and so on... but instead after three playthroughs, I kinda grew to like her. Like a lot, she's now the only other female character I've ever romanced aside from Ashley. And the shock of realizing she had become my favorite (in Mass Effect 2) really did cause me to have a moment of reflection of 'holy crap'!
As is my realization that I'm talking about my virtual relationships with actual emotional strings attached.
But still, look at that face. She's beautiful.\

*ahem*

Also other holy crap moments:
"Would you Kindly?" in Bioshock.
The V-rex in the King Kong game.
Kat's death in Halo Reach
Getting to play as the Arbiter in Halo 2
The Necromorph stalkers in Dead Space 2
The '121 days left' trap in Fable 3
Just about every moment of Psychonauts

You know what I'm talkin about. Whether it's a necromorph coming out of nowhere or using the RYNO for the first time, we've all had one of those moments in a game that makes you think that the game is good, bad, or an improvement over the sequel.

For me, it was like the first time we see grown up Jak in Jak 2 Renegade. Not only does the game switch from fluffy kiddy dream land to GTA with future guns, flying cars, rebellions, gods, a plot that's deeper than it seems and an awesome set of characters. My biggest "holy shit" moment was when we see Jak, after 2 years of being tortured and pumped full of dark eco, and how he went from like a 14-year old boy with a big destiny to a 20-year old badass with a hitlist. Not only is this a huge persona change, IT'S THE FIRST TIME HE SPEAKS! And it's his choice of words that made me go," holy shit." He didn't say," Dax is that you?" or "whose there!?" it was something much more darker and a lot more awesome.

Dax: Jak for once in ya life say something!
*Jak wakes up
Jak:I'm gonna kill Praxus!!

HO-LEE SHIT! We went from plucky boy to a badass that has high probability of curbstomping Praxus. I'm not talking about the trope on how much of a badass a hero he is and how much of walk in the park it is to beat Praxus. No. I can imagine Jak taking Praxus out of whatever mechanical monstrosity he's using try to kill Jak, dragging him to the first step of Praxus's palace, placing his teeth on the concrete steps and either blowing his brains out or just the classic curbstomp. I know, real gritty, but for me that was like kid to adult in 5 minutes. I still have the Jak 2 and 3 games, mainly cuz they kick more ass than the first and that they kind of sent me of message of," it's time for big boy pants," with the once plucky farm boy making an oath of vengeance on someone he barely knew.

What was yours, awesome gun, deep twist, monster outta nowhere? Tell us and I implore the use of clips of you like.

(could someone plz find me the Jak 2 intro plz, I know nothing on uploading clips or photos)
Haha that was my first sandbox game and I loved it the first Jak and Daxter was awesome and the second made a huge leap into awesome with guns, a huge city, hoverboard and awesome suicide hover cars and a great ending.....BUT Jak 3 improved this and made it the same but much more fun.....UNTIL Jak X...serious I wanted a actual Jak 4 not a racing game, it would of been better with an actual Jak game, mabey they might make a new one...

Fighting the 5th Colossus in....well, guess what game I'm taking about ^_^.

I found myself tilting my head as the bastard flew up into the air and started flipping upside down with me hanging onto it's wing followed by a 100 foot or so drop into a lake once your stamina meter runs out.

.......Awesome.
