I'd like for BGE2 to be good, to not be just another ubisoft open world game, to not have ubisofty microtransactions and 500000 editions, and to be a part of the BGE world in a way that makes sense. I rate those at 50%, 25%, 5% and 35% likelihood respectively.

A worthy sequel to Burnout Revenge; Paradise was very much NOT.

And whatever Playdead?s next game is going to be; saw it hinted at on Twitter a couple years ago and have been waiting ever since.
Oh yeah, their mysterious new title! There was a new tease they handed out to people at some event last year btw, if you haven't seen yet;

Ok, not much, admittedly, just that image. Cheeky shy scamps. (StealthEdit: extra link says it sci-fi themed and an interview in Danish if that's any use -
https://www.pcgamesn.com/inside/playdead-new-game-sci-fi )

Burnout does need a real comeback. Though I thought Paradise was ok, not amazing, but any comeback in would be nice really. Pity they chose the lesser NSF to feed it to. And even that series is being run into the ground by their usual bad practices and greed. Criterion was working on some extreme multi-sports game last, not sure if that's still happening. Looked like Ubisoft's Steep but with some planes thrown in or whatever. Certainly not Burnout. :(

The fourth DragonAge game being set - per the ending of Inquisition - in the Tevinter Imperium. And that we get to recruit Feinryal from DA2 as a party member. And Dorian, I want that lovable bastard back and trading wit with anyone who stands still long enough.

A Skies of Arcadia port leading up to a sequel.

A Kingdoms of Amalur sequel, which may actually happen.

Even less likely than Skies of Arcadia 2, I'd like to see more focus return to single player games that can be played without some sort of online component being necessarey. Be it an online connection or trying to turn every genre into an MM (Ubisoft, looking your way!). I like playing online with friends. I don't necessarily mind MMOs and live interaction. But I miss being able to pause "AAA" titles, and more of them pushing online means there are fewer of those games I can play on the regular due to commitments and health reasons. I want my online to be optional. And preferably to have for player co-op.

Disappointingly, neither were the spiritual successors to crash mode: Dangerous Goplf, Danger Zone and Sanger Zone 2.

I'd really love to see a director's cut style of Realms of the Haunting. Apparently they cut an entire hour of footage from the game so that it could ship on fewer discs and that's probably why the ending seems so rushed and awful. It's a shame, because most of the game was really good. I'd really like to see what they cut exactly.

I know it's been 23 years and the developer no longer exists, but I don't think this is too much to ask for.

A fully remaster of KOTOR;

Leave the story and dialogs alone....actually, dialogs probably could use an upgrade.

Everything else should be upgraded. Better UI and menu designs, all the areas re-built in new engine, romance should at least include kissing scenes and not just fade to black, make pazaak and racing enjoyable and relative to the world.

But as long as EA exists, it will never happen

The Warriors series maybe actually putting in something involving effort and making a quality game. Dynasty Warriors 9 was a travesty, Warriors Orochi 4 was just a slog with absolutely broken characters, and less effort than ever put into the game, and Everything from 2017 was pretty shite too. Make a Pirate Warriors 4 or Hyrule Warriors 2, put fucking effort into them. It's almost like unless Omega Force has a third party supervising they make utter garbage. Oh wait, they're making Samurai Warriors 4... for the forth time and with less characters than the last entry in it added. Fucking Genius.

Cyberpunk 2077 to come out this year and be either during winter or summer break.

Oh god...what?

I haven't paid attention to the Warriors series in the last couple of years, because of the exact reason you bring this all up, and I too am hoping for a game with some actual effort, but...they're doing another 4 with FEWER Characters?

Omega Force, you have failed this city!

It's a very specific, very very unlikely hope, but...I hope Lucia returns in Devil May Cry 5.
My great hope is that they just own up to DMC2 and accept it and do the best they can with it, which includes Lucia for me, she also had a pretty cool Devil Trigger.
For serious. It didn't feel all that much like a DMC game, and the voice acting was utterly horrendous, but it was still a good game on its other merits, it introduced a bunch of things to the series that stood the test of time, and Lucia was basically "better Trish" (and "proto-Lady," at least with the grenades).

So I've had my soul's fingers crossed ever since that first trailer with Dante zooming in on a motorcycle. Some of us never forgot, dammit!

*shakes fist at sky*

...I also want those Diesel outfits from DMC2 as unlockable costumes, but I'd assume those would be paid DLC if included, and...eh to that.

It's literally the original fourth game with all the DLC on it. So it's missing the characters added in Samurai Warriors 4-2 and Samurai Warriors 4: Spirit of Sanada. That was what they decided was a good move to announce as their first game of 2019. After nothing but mediocrity in 2018.

They announced a Warriors Festival for early March. Maybe something not total shit will come from them.

For developers to put as much effort into sound fidelity as they put into graphical fidelity. Someone running on a cement floor one story above me should sound very different than someone running on a tile floor in the next room over.

A return to mechanics trumping simple immersion, and player choice trumping 'clean' UIs, presentation and ease of consumption.

It might be because of my boardgaming roots and preferences, but it's becoming increasingly hard not to notice how a game like Gloomhaven is infinitely superior to things like the modern X-COM games.

Also why Morrowind beats Skyrim. People piss and whine too much about how; "When I swing a sword at something I want it to hit..." while forgetting that by ixnaying things like dodge you are emoving complexity of character design choices. Mechanical complexity in an RPG shouldn't be sacrificed simply for presentation.

Sure, I love my Monster Hunters and Soulsbornes, but then again not every game should be in the action genre.

Also I want to see a return of the RTT genre like the Close Combat and MechCommander games.

This, and also I want physically based rendering to apply to actual game physics and not just visuals. I want materials to have realistic properties and respond accordingly to a given action. Like a sword will cut flesh much easier when no armor is covering it, and the enemy will be affected by different attacks more dynamically also. Or how about eventually being able to cut down a wooden door with an axe instead of just hearing a thud and seeing a splinter decal flash on the screen. SoulsBorne started this a bit by having much of the objects breakable and reacting to movement, but none of it affected gameplay outside of perhaps revealing a shortcut or item.

The key is that it?s applied directly to gameplay and not merely cosmetic. I want boss fights where you don?t need a health bar to tell when they?re near death, because every attack you do whether successful or not will leave visual feedback on their model, and affect their ability to fight back accordingly.
