2 Halo 3 disks. One was after a friend of mine tried to move my xbox while the disk was spinning inside (ffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu), and the second was when the same friend knocked over my xbox 360 with the game disk spinning inside.

This friend is no longer allowed anywhere near my consoles anymore.
That is EXACTLY the same thing that happened to my friend...you aren't?...nah...XBoxes just eat discs

And even if I do accidentally destroy on of my wii or gamecube games, guess what?
I can run backups on my wii! Suck It!...
That was rude...I really do feel sorry for your loss...all of you losses.

Lent my copy of Final Fantasy X to a friend. It got screwed up at his place. Fortunately he was good enough to buy me a replacement copy. The only real sad thing is that it was my first copy of my most beloved game of all time. I now have two copies of the game but, it's still a little sad to know that I'll never see my first one ever again.

Your friend wouldn't happen to have an unpronounceable last name would he?

I lost a few when I was younger. I cannot recall the names but I wasn't very...careful with them back in the day. Now I am better about it. I don't baby them like some people but I don't leave them laying around like I used to.

My brother lent Star Wars Rogue Squadron III to his friend. This friend of his doesn't use the game boxes. Oh, he keeps the boxes, he just leaves the discs lying about because he's an inconsiderate ass. He also broke my (original!) plastic Luke Skywalker lightsaber when I was five. Anyways.

The disc was pristine when my brother lent it to him and it was scratched to hell when we got it back. It never worked after that, to my great disappointment. It was one of our few good splitscreen games.

My Resident Evil 0 I loved that game but I bought it used and it already had tons of scratches on it so it was only a matter of time. Other than that, I've never had a game break on me that wasnt already acquired in poor condition.

My old copy of Pokemon Crystal. It's still technically "playable," but the save file corrupts whenever I turn it off, so it's pretty much useless. Not that I'd play it much even if I could, but it's still a shame.

I still have my broken Halo 3 that was lost to scratches, my Pokemon Gold that refuses to save, and a broken copy of Fallout 3 that I have NO idea why it won't work.
Hmmm my Pokemon Blue won't save either, it must be a fault in the construction of the cartridges.
Cartridges have an internal battery that allows them to save. You can have the battery replaced (for a modest fee) if you send it off to Nintendo, or you can replace it yourself (if you happen to have a soldering iron and small watch battery handy). There are tutorials on the internet. Doing it yourself has obvious risks however.

Mine is a copy of X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter that I managed to trap in the CD drive (it somehow half jumped out when I pressed the close button). It got bent slightly (though I could still use it to run the game, just not install it). It doesn't really matter now though since I have a box set of all three X-Wing games that I can play.

also my ps3 broke down recently, as far as i can tell its because i played to much buggy fucking fallout new vegas.
Why do you think a buggy game broke your ps3? Unless your turning the power switch off and on to reset a freeze the game locking up harms nothing.

Literally lost a couple of games I've lent out but it's not a big deal. I don't ever recall "wear and tear" occuring to my games. I look after them.

Actually that's a lie. I fell in the pool with my GameBoy Color [sic] in my pocket while Pokemon Blue was in it. Both still worked though, so yeah.

I have never broken or misplaced a game. I really only lend them to 2 or 3 of my close friends who don't abuse them.

Well it's certainly not a friendly last name, no one gets it right the first time...

Edit: I checked you linked steam profile...it's a no...he tried to use steam once for Borderlands...and that's the only steam game he has...

My first one was Naval Ops: Warship Gunner for the PS2. I mean, it still works, but I just lost the ability to load my save and play as one of the 4 factions (USA). They just so happen to be the most powerful too... I'm still mad about that, and the fact that the assholes at Gamestop charged me 20$ to "fix" it when they didn't do a thing to it.

Then there's CoD 4 on my 360. I can't play the map Ambush, which happens to be my favorite map.

That's about it, I think.
