This...

Talking trains were my favourite thing in my childhood.
Same here. I kept watching this show until I was eight, and unlike half the other shows I used to watch it hasn't lost its charm. Well, the new series has by GETTING RID OF THAT THEME SONG AND MAKING IT ALL CGI.
Wait, wait wait.... They changed the theme song?!
....

Rob Zombie - Dragula
For the latter half of my childhood anyway.

I didn't really have a favourite childhood song. Sure I loved "Little Old Lady From Pasadena" by Jan and Dean and "Venga Bus" by the Vengaboys and "Who Let the Dogs Out?" by the Baha Men but I didn't have a single favourite song until I heard this tune during the party scene of The Matrix.

Little Old Lady From Pasadena's by Jan and Dean.

I was OBSESSED with this song when I was a child. My father was a hard-core Van Halen fan, and I grew up on stuff like this. I used to sit in the back seat of the car, singing with my dad at the top of my lungs. I still find the tune rather catchy.

(Ironically enough, at age 15 my mother asked if I worshiped Satan, and insisted I see a therapist.)
See if you can find the vocal only track of that song, Diamond Dave screeching and howling is hilarious.
Ronnie James Dio dominated my childhood, but not in the way all you metalheads think.

My childhood is fuzzy so I shall choose a fuzzy song.
The show's theme song has more impact for me. Did you know that manamanah was originally from an italian soft porn film?

THIS IS HERESY AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Does ringo star still narrate?!?
He hasn't narrated since the mid-eightees... how I miss the classic Thomas.
What? I watched it as a kid and he was narrating... I must have been watching repeats and didn't even know it... I feel betrayed...
