Though I'm not a Jehovah Witness I go to their churches a believe what they believe. I believe in what I learn and have never been happier with my region, but people really don't like Jehovah witnesses. Their the nicest people I know and follow the bible the closest then any other form of Christianity, but they cause a lot of flak if you mention their name. I want to stick up more for what I believe but I don't want to alienate people.

I dnt want to get into religious debate. But... Uh... Have you read the Bible ? like God seding bears to maul children for calling a guy bald.

lol of course I don't have to respond. I just get tired of seeing pictures of ponies, that's all. So I responded to seeing yet another picture of a pony. It's annoying enough that almost every fourth avatar is a pony, but that I will tolerate because I don't feel its my place to tell people what avatar they choose.

I'm trapped in a semi-conscious, Freudian battle between my 'Id' and 'Super-Ego'.

Basically my Id is raging because of a dry spell that so far lasted for about nine months. The thing is that the whole sexual thing isn't as easy for me as it should be because of my super-ego that's keeping me from i.e. a ONS.

Most of my friends have no problem finding/getting anonymous sex for which I envy them while at the same time distancing myself from them. They only rudimentary know about my conflict and as of now I haven't found a way to regain a 'healthy' attitude towards the whole sex thing. I've more or less had this fixation since I was a child--being unusually interested in the parts of cartoons where somebody's tied up and all that--and I think I've figured out it's more or less about control. When you're helpless like that, somebody else is completely in control and you are completely out of control. Meaning you are free from making decisions and conscious choices, and they are free to make any decisions they like regardless of the consequences. So it's a way of thinking, really. I can definitely see why you wouldn't get it though, lol.

As far as your question about Methodists, I don't believe I've known any others in my denomination who believe they've spoken in tongues. I know some evangelicals and Baptists are like that, but I like to consider the Methodists I run with to be the Canadians of the protestant Christians. We don't like to get involved with controversies, we don't like to be terribly open with hateful belligerence, and we don't really take any rash actions to make anybody else upset with us. We just say hello and smile and go about our business. Of course I understand there are some Methodists who have done such things, but again this is just the crowd I run with. Churches function on a very local basis, so the values my local churches hold may be radically different from others in different places.

Their are a lot of things in the bible I don't quite get either, but I am making my way throughout he bible and trying to make sense of some of those weird things. A big thing about studying with Jehovah witnesses is that they know that you need to ask questions, and sometimes just believing isn't enough. Not to be a dick either, but Their have been a lot of stories and scriptures altered in the bible since it was originally written. The king James Bible is the biggest one I know of, Its been altered in very big ways from a lot of the original scriptures and contradicts itself a lot.

Oh I know the bible is a collection of books, and has been edited MNY times. But still, cant see any context where some of the stuff would be good.

As or the thing about Jehovas and conersion, I understnd they want to convince everyon becuase they belive it will help them, but some people just dont belive, im one of them unless I saw jGod/Jesus without any drugs envolved I willnever belive. people who m seem like they want the best fo us, just push us away and make us annoyed. I'm not a Jehovah witness, and don't understand it 100% yet but I can see how its annoying. But I'm pretty sure if you ask them not to com back they won't, at least not on purpose. But you have to understand witnesses like your mother only try to do it out of love. My sister who studied before I did, quite studying with Jehovah witnesses because of a bad marriage, now even though she did believe it let material things get in the way of any kind of religion. I will never stop trying to convince her to try studying again because I love her, but I will not force it on her, nor should anybody.

BDSM is a very common fetish amongst the religious. It tends to be because religions just tell you to repress things that you're told are wrong or you'll be punished. The idea of punishment simmers in the mind and as your personality forms that becomes part of it. People keep their 'wrong' thoughts private and they also tend to keep their sexual practices quiet, they influence each other over time.

Because they repress their urges more, when they do let them out they tend to be more 'intense' and/or fetishistic than those of a sexual liberal. It's for this reason that states like Texas have a much higher proportion of paid membership to specialist sites than states like New Jersey.

Kinda but there is a lot of debate on whether or not it still applies in this day and age. Also I am still a Christian because I believe that Jesus is the only hope for humanity. I'm asexual with libido. You're thinking of asexual without libido. I can be sexually aroused, just not by people's bodies. Some people can't be sexually aroused at all. I just require paraphilias, like BDSM and Vore. So, I see, for instance, a centerfold. Is it just a person in attractive clothing? All I see is the artistic aesthetic of the picture. Is it a person being dominated or eaten? Then I'm turned on. Does that clear it up?

EDIT: Not a stupid question at all. Hardly anyone knows anything about asexuals outside of sites devoted to them.

There used to be a few things that I didn't tell anybody about, but those days have long since passed. My family and friends know how much I love video games and how much I play them. They know that I'm not a Christian. And they know that I love anime and it, like video games, is not just a phase that I'm going to grow out of.

Actually you know what, I just thought of one. They don't know that I intend to drop out of college. The hell if I know what I'm going to do with my life, but I'll make it work somehow. Their are a lot of things in the bible I don't quite get either, but I am making my way throughout he bible and trying to make sense of some of those weird things. A big thing about studying with Jehovah witnesses is that they know that you need to ask questions, and sometimes just believing isn't enough. Not to be a dick either, but Their have been a lot of stories and scriptures altered in the bible since it was originally written. The king James Bible is the biggest one I know of, Its been altered in very big ways from a lot of the original scriptures and contradicts itself a lot.

Oh I know the bible is a collection of books, and has been edited MNY times. But still, cant see any context where some of the stuff would be good.

As or the thing about Jehovas and conersion, I understnd they want to convince everyon becuase they belive it will help them, but some people just dont belive, im one of them unless I saw jGod/Jesus without any drugs envolved I willnever belive. people who m seem like they want the best fo us, just push us away and make us annoyed. Its like my mother, she couldnt convert me after the 1st attempt, or th second. And shestill occasionally tres. Not realising it just gets more annoying.

I'm not a Jehovah witness, and don't understand it 100% yet but I can see how its annoying. But I'm pretty sure if you ask them not to com back they won't, at least not on purpose. But you have to understand witnesses like your mother only try to do it out of love. My sister who studied before I did, quite studying with Jehovah witnesses because of a bad marriage, now even though she did believe it let material things get in the way of any kind of religion. I will never stop trying to convince her to try studying again because I love her, but I will not force it on her, nor should anybody.

Oh I know she belivesin heaven and hell and wants to increase my chaes of the former, but I dontbelive in those things. It would take jesus himself or damn good evidence to convince me. Until then im happy with my god free and sinful lifestyle. (My mother is catholic, and the Catholic church thinks porn and masturbation are bad, so yeah much happier with my sinful ways.)

Its annoying becuase I cant seem to get the message acoss that I dont belive in God and dont care about church. I cant put t simpler, but its not gettig through. She hasnt tied in a while, but she still does on occasions.

Well I'm sorry she catholic, their very mean. I have a said to be catholic grandma even though she dose not go to church and she tries to say I'm going to hell for being in a cult. It nice when people who have lived a life of sin and don't go to church are now experts because its what they believe. Even though she knows I went to the priest himself and talked to him before I left the church to make sure I'd have no regrets, and had him look at me blankly for 1/2 an hour while I quoted scripture and he just looked at me blankly and told me that I just needed to believe. She doesn't know what shes talking about when she preaches at me, but I appreciated what she is doing. She is trying to do what she thinks is best, even though I think its wrong. It is annoying but know its out of love.

She isnt mean, just annoyng with her religion. Went to a catholic school, openly atheist (we even had 2 sikhs).

BDSM is a very common fetish amongst the religious. It tends to be because religions just tell you to repress things that you're told are wrong or you'll be punished. The idea of punishment simmers in the mind and as your personality forms that becomes part of it. People keep their 'wrong' thoughts private and they also tend to keep their sexual practices quiet, they influence each other over time.

Because they repress their urges more, when they do let them out they tend to be more 'intense' and/or fetishistic than those of a sexual liberal. It's for this reason that states like Texas have a much higher proportion of paid membership to specialist sites than states like New Jersey.

Also, it's equally likely that the person would be submissive as they'd be dominant. There's no hard and fast rule for which way they go, that is a much more personal development.

I can't say that would only date someone who is a christian but its what I what I'm looking to do. I've remained a virgin and wish to stay so until marriage, so i want to of course marry another virgin. Another big thing is that I will not get into a serious relationship until II can support a family, its smart and follows the bible, like most things.
