I'm currently seated at the helm of my custom gaming rig, which I have named Requiem, so named because it spelled out the demise of my previous machine, Rhythm (all the computers in my household are given musical names for some reason I'm sure made sense back when we started that tradition).

Custom Build
Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz, OC to 2.38GHz
(~15 fans in various places in the case keep the heat down)
ATI Radeon HD 4770, OC to 915MHz Core, 1000MHz Memory (Card originally is a bit better than a 9800GT, now it's even better)
4GB DDR2 Memory (3.25GB usable)
Windows XP SP3
Browser: Firefox

All about bang for the buck. Slowly upgrade over time when I think it needs doing.
