I'd choose either Cthulhu or Dante from Devil May Cry, to lead Canada. Either way we would become the greatest international superpower ever, thanks to our leader being able to smash whole armies aside.
who do you choose and why?
I'll choose Commader Shepped or Harbiger. Canada will never fall to anyone.

Sounds very fascist.
Could you send me a link to your story it sounds reminiscent of 1984 or Atlas Shrugged.
I don't know what is fascist about making people more responsible for their own lives and trying to ease the country of its debt and fuel crisis.

Fictional me sees the need for the people to become less dependent on the government and start becoming responsible.

It is definitely not fascist when fictional me wouldn't be forcing people to pay for other people's health care.

The only thing that could be remotely be considered fascist is the strict regulation of possible pork projects. But, it would be a good thing to control such ventures, because they are a large part of the spending problem in this country.

The government would have less control over companies, the government won't step in when a company fails, because there is no such thing as too big to fail. Propping up failing companies cost this country more money than would have been lost if said failing companies had failed.

Fascism is when a government starts controlling people's lives, socialism is a form of fascism because in the long run it forces people to help out people they don't know at an expense less funding for their own lives. Charity shouldn't be forced. That is why fictional me is against Obama's plans to make community service a mandatory thing for students to graduate high school.

Other than the pork barrel projects thing, how is fictional me's plan fascist. Fascism is about having more government control. With fictional me's plans, there is less government control.

I've never posted the stories online, though it was a long while back when I wrote them, before 2008. They are probably gone now, that was before I got my new computer when my old one collapsed from a crippling virus. I lost a good bit of my writing then. Since then I have been writing on paper more and backing up when I remember. Though I haven't done any political stuff in a while.

Better known as Thrawn.
Man that would be so awesome. The universe shall be ours!
It may reflect badly on me that I understood who you were talking about from just the first line.

But that would be so cool. Nothing anybody else has come up with has been even close to the genius of Thrawn.

You know, funny thing about Fascism... it was essentially a grand show-off of dicks playing as Real Men while kissing the Nazis' behind and "begging" them to conquer Greece for them... but the economy was rather stable back then, with a strong emphasys in our primal resources in order to wishstand the economic crysis..... sadly, the way WE are now in Italy is making us REGRET Mussolini's outstanding chin. Do not believe what you might have heard, we are Europe's running joke... I don't know why I said these things, I guess reading of Fascism somehow ignited by national bitterness. Let's just leave it at that.

The pork barrel project bit is mostly why I said it related to Fascism, the support of the military and censoring left-wing material. Fascism is nothing like Socialism by the way. Please just touch of the definitions, some Socialists would get very angry at that statement. There are distinct differences from the two. Fascism can only function with hate that's why the support of a corrupt military is crucial to functioning. Fascism wants CONTROL. The blinking lights went of when you mentioned the Iron-Fist.

To clarify it sounds a lot like Libertarianism. I think you would be interested in Atlas Shrugged or that cool videogame Bioshock.
I just hope you don't actually support that ideal - sounds so extreme.

And you only have a one in ten chance of getting killed.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

OT: I have a campaign pin and flyer for an anime character, namely the lead character of Fist of the North Star, Kenshiro. It reads "Vote Kenshiro for President...or you're already dead.". Kenshiro is actually a decent guy and carries the deadliest form of martial arts in the world. I'd vote.
