And Ireland invented the Tank, the Submarine, and flavored potatochips.
Actually, us Dutch invented the submarine. And the telescope, the microscope, the CD, speed cameras (sorry) and the artificial kidney.

Sorry but we invented Guiness.. so we win :)
That, good sir, stands without doubt. We're just arguing about second place. ^^

The World Wide Web was invented by an Englishman in Switzerland, so that one belongs to the UK.

I will have to go with the fridge.

Well Scotland invented a fuck ton of stuff

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm

The telephone, the T.V., cordite, pneumatic tires, the basis for tarmac roads, radar, criminal fingerprinting, ultrasound scanners, penicillin, a flushing toilet, ghillies suits, all modern economics
Yeaaaah, we made a lot of stuff for a small nation, isn´t that weird XD

I think the invention I am most proud of Scotland for making was the discovery of radio waves thanks to Sir James Clerk Maxwell. That dude figured out about radio waves, which lead to Marconi inventing the radio, which lead to John Logie Baird making a television screen, which lead to Alexander Zworykin making the first fully working television, which lead to the computer to the internet etc etc.

So yeah, modern technology by one discovery from a very underrated scientist. Props to Maxwell.

Also, did any of you Americans ever mention the fact you guys invented THE FIRST EVER VIDEO GAME in 1947?

Scotland made Haggis and the telephone.

And without the telephone, there would be no internet! Suck on that Bill Gates!

the atom bomb, the machine gun, television, nuclear power, personal computers, cell phones,
An American invented the cell phone? I thought it was a Japanese thing. No, wait, they just did it better. ...Snap.
FU. how about this, the Ipod, Iphone, and lightbulb?
What about the iPhone and the iPod? You think they are the greatest American invention? If that's the case I'm disappointed in you.
i was just listing some others. i know that there are better ones, such as the lunar module or flight, that is a good one, right?
Well if you're going to list Apple products you should mention the Lisa and the original Macintosh instead. They pioneered the GUI and the PC. Apple really hasn't done anything extraordinary since then. People think they have, but they haven't. The iPhone was done before by others, better, all Apple did was make it "cool" and that's not as impressive. Same with the iPod, a high capacity portable music player predated the iPod by at least a year. The Creative Nomad.

Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong.
