If you could score your own scene in which you die, how would you go about it?
Melancholy and solemn?
Bittersweet?
Bombastic and grandiose?

For something climactic, this is my choice.
I'm a semi-human warrior using my last ounce of strength to defend my home from invaders.

For something different.
I'm an old man. Lying in bed, contemplating my last thoughts as my story draws to a close. Thinking about my life. When death comes I greet it softly, and tell my family goodbye.

Have fun with this guys, let's hear your choices and stories!

The first part of this song can be your typical 'accepting death and gaining closure' kind of schtick

The second part, that while you may accept that you're going to die, you're going to take as many of the bastards with you as you can. The way the song builds up to that crescendo is fantastic, and I love the mixing of styles that takes place.

It's a long track, by I urge you to listen to it in it's entirety.

Ah yeah, GotS OST's always hit the spot.
Very appropriate piece there I might add.

Here's another for me.

Perhaps a troubled general, contemplating his troops and the truth that they cannot win the battle they are about to be a part of, but they must still fight, as their duty and honor dictates.

Seems appropriate for a squandered life. But then who can say they haven't in one way or another squandered their life?

This song is pretty much perfect.

It's a beautiful piece of composition and I just love the sense of epicness and finality to it.

I'm sure most people on here have played the Mass Effect series but if not, then I urge you to at least listen to the soundtrack!

*insert speech on self-sacrifice for the good of the world here*

See even the quiet emotional songs are melodramatic as fuck. Code Geass is so awesome.

This. Always this.

Seriously though, probably this lovely song from Bastion

It's such a beautiful song, really tugs at your heart strings. I'd be coming home.

This,without a doubt.

It just captures the tragedy of the moment perfectly.

Seriously though, the backing track to that oddness really is quite fitting.

Absolutely nothing. If I were in a ovie, show or game and was about to die I wouldn't have music. My death would not be grand, dramatic, solemn, nothing. It would be like real death, quick and without any kind of "awesomeness". Just *bang* to the head and I slump.

Now for my not so boring answer it would probably be this.

And my death scene would probably be me Walking around exhausted after a massive battle with few survivors. Then at the end of the song a lone sniper would pop my head like a melon.

The camera would shift to a friend of me. And then it'd blast out through the speakers!

If I'm going down fighting in an epic battle?
This.
If I'm going out nice and slow?
This.
Or this.

Something simple, with a sense of lament, but still lacking the tone of finality. I suppose something like this, just not looped 10 times:

I don't think I'd be capable of being any character except an incessantly snarky guy who thinks he's way cooler than he actually is, so . . .

This one really since it's really sad, if you know the context, and at the same time soothing.

Just like death! :D

That would probably be played while I'm trying to stay alive after trying my damnedest in a fight. It's one of my favorite songs ever from that soundtrack.

Super melancholy.
