Your Destination in a Zombie Apocalypse.

Pretty simple. In the event of a zombie outbreak, what would your destination be?

Mine would be Alaska. Its cold, isolated, and I don't think the zombie virus could survive long there. Maybe I'm wrong.

I'd barricade the SHIT out of my own house. I live in the woods with not many people around, and i could probably hunt the hundreds of the now booming deer population.

I'll be off to Indianapolis, grab an aircraft capable of flying to Europe, along with a pilot. Then I'm off to find a castle in decent condition. Once I do, I'm going to border up the entrances and live in a castle surrounded by bodies.

Yes, I'm sure you would be the only person to have thought of that. on a less sarcastic note, watch out for the actual gun-shop owner, he will be crazy. if you don't get your ass eaten on the way there, that is.

I have a car to protect me. As for the owner I will persuade him with subway from across the road, then bludgeon him to death for his store. The perfect plan.

I'd go to Washington DC and live in the many government buildings while killing zombies with a variety of military equipment.

That, or show an uncharacteristic pride in my state of South Carolina and go to Fort Sumter.

In the event of a zombie apocalypse, though, I'd probably be fairly nomadic.

I pick a mall. I know you're not supposed to, but it's nice and big and easy to shut down. You could create a whole little civilization. Each store could be like a different room. I don't know, it's just my idea. It can hold a lot of people and like one store could be filled with guns, one for growing food, one for sleeping and stuff like that.

I'm going to take a virology course in college, so I'll have a more solid plan after I understand just how a zombie virus would work.

Honestly, it depends on the type of zombie/zombie virus. If we're talking Romero's slow walking zombies, I'd probably stay in my home town and just barricade myself in the local Walmart. I'd probably even be able to walk about town.

28 Days Later/Dawn of the Dead 2.0 zombie? I'd travel about an hour out of town and just start walking in the forest. We have a large amount of small towns in Oregon. They're in the woods and most are off the beaten path. It wouldn't be hard to get lost out here. Heck, we barely see people now.

It also depends on if the zombies can hunt you down (like the Dawn of the Dead zombies). I live about twenty minutes from a working bay. Push comes to shove, I can just commandeer a boat and sail off towards less populated regions (Alaska, for one).

Left 4 Dead zombies? Alaska/Canada. The Canadians are immune to the zombie outbreak. This is fact.

At first I would fortify my own house and try to get by. My house is pretty isolated so I just get together guns, food, water, assorted hand tools, destroy the stairs, all set! As the crisis went on I would probably try to get some people together and head for a military complex. Preferably one that still has soldiers there.

Although as "28 days later" illustrates, that would probably be the WORST place to be. At least for any women in the group.
