I'm talking about developers never make that dream game of yours, or they promised us Gamers a game but you end up with something that's not as good as you wanted it to become in the first place or was cancelled.

And I'm not talking about your dream sequel!

I've been waiting for a Guyver game since I was 14.

Thats 16 years of waiting and still nothing.

Seriously, i'd sell my first born for a Dynasty Warrior type Guyver game.

A game that incorporates electromagnetism into their physics engine. And not just shooting lightning and what not. I mean full on electric and magnetic field calculations using Maxwell's equations. Those could definitely be coded into a game. If you code each particle in a plasma shot as having electric charge, then you could use magnetic fields to deflect them, or use a parallel plasma shot to deflect it as well. Metallic and non-metallic surfaces with electric fields could create some dynamic puzzle effects too. I could go on, and I really want to see this done.

It would be cool if you could play Mass Effect so that you can only play as one of the aliens in the series and the alien you select would dramaticly effect your abilities and story for your character.

Chris Nolan expressed a want to make Inception as a videogame. So that's literally my dream game.

I see it as a huge Mission Impossible type game, with prefab-based level design and so forth. The exact actions you take in one level directly affects the time constraints and gravity effects of the next level down, and so on.

And you could do 'Limbo' as a sort of From Dust styled SimCity clone.

no captcha, I can't do the omega symbol..
i have been getting so many of those Omega symbols and other Greek letters in my Captchas, WTF?

OT: I'd like to see a story driven narrative game set in the USSR in the late 80's and it would play a bit like GTA/Saints Row, give it a cool sci fi premise with spies and stuff. I would give my left nut for a good version of that.

But hoping for a dream game like that is like trying to mug a leprechaun at the end of the rainbow, all the planning in the world won't make up for the fact it cannot be done.

Several of my dream games have already been made. They just haven't been remade in HD yet.

A skateboard game with a proper board peripheral that you actually flip etc.

NOT like that Tony Hawk Ride one.

Or an FPS where you hold the gun but still control movement, strafing etc. Not really sure how they'd implement that though.

Spore. As in, the good version everyone was anticipating. I thought it'd be like one of his Civilization games, just continued into space, but was proven horribly wrong.

That's a pretty cool idea. Doing that for each particle in a plasma shot would get very resource intensive though, unless the main character was incredibly small.

StarCraft: Ghost and Half-Life 2: Episode 3/Half-Life 3. Pretty standard stuff, the first probably won't happen but would be awesome to see existing on modern PCs/consoles, and the second will happen as soon as Valve learns how to count to three.

An actually completed version of Marvel vs Capcom 3 that was actually worth its price and not just the same game with 12 new characters, 8 new stages, and one new mode. You know a game that was actually better than the original in every single way. Kind of like Super Street Fighter IV to Street Fighter IV

- skateboard, how about you go outside, the experience is uncanny
- FPS... like this?

OT:
StarGate, but it hasto be a good one, and it could be sooo very good.

A consistent Fable with all the promised features, minus bullshit.

A RPG in which you can develop actual relationships with characters, so after 40 years of serving your land by defeating the many various hordes of monsters that are attempting to destroy it you can settle down with a wife and have little mixed breed children to train in the art of kicking-ass...

...or a "Real" Zombie game! You get bitten, your fucked, and the point of the game is to survive any way you can...
