2> Coffee Shop Owner. The weird part? I really don't like coffee all that much. I just love the smell, the atmosphere, and the general "at-ease" nature of the place. Imagine a work place where the most stressful object in the entire office is a phone ringing quietly on a counter. If I could afford to do this, it'd be all I would do. I'd work the entire day, open to close, if I had to.
Hah, I have to laugh at the irony of this, as this is precisely what I am attempting to work towards with my mother. My dream job however would be being a globally successful Entrepreneur. The savvy and strategy necessary to succeed in business is far too tempting to want any less and business relates as close as possible to an interest I have in strategist warfare (not modern warfare mind you.)

Although a true dream job and one I would not perform in this lifetime would have been to play in the NHL.

I would LOVE to get paid to research and develop interesting story concepts and help flesh them out, doesn't matter what medium it's for.

I would become some sort of writer, but I suck ass at dialogue.

I think it would be a lot of fun to run a second hand bookshop
Library's would ruin you!

Anyhoo, my favourite would have to be bicycle courier. I've just always loved the idea of it.

1) Biology teacher - (Imagine, if you will, a woman [me] at the front of the class, screaming, "What do you mean you don't know the fucking answer? FOR FUCK'S SAKE!" *dangles child out of window until they learn what a retrovirus is*)
Please come teach at my school.
I would if I could, unfortunately, I not only do not have a degree in biology, but a teaching degree.

When I get them, so help me god, I'll dangle your fellow students out of windows and stick their faces in Bunsen burners until both our little hearts are content.

I would like to be a network security consultant.

A company would hire me, I would essentially look at their network structure and their business plan and secure/optimize either.

I would love to be a game designer. Not a "creative director" but the guy who tweaks the spreadsheets and decides which button is Reload, or how many cards you should draw. It's just a hobby right now, but I'm toying with making it full-time.

Then again, who knows? I've been a game tester, an analyst, and a programmer, and eventually decided those weren't what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So my track record is not so good.

On the more fanciful side, being a singer would also be totally sweet, and I've really enjoyed the little of it I've done. Unfortunately, as a mellow baritone, my style of voice hasn't been popular in decades, so prospects are limited. :p

You have to realize, movies and fiction actually bet better as the job market gets worse. People go to see movies to relieve their stress over the crap in their real life. So as the economy gets worse, the movies get better.
Tha's actually completely logical. I didn't think of it that way!

You also forgot having the immense hatred of every real actor, as well as likely never having a truly healthy commitment to another woman. Oh, and the part where, if you screw up, every 'nerd' on the planet Earth (and likely Yavin IV) will see it.
- Since I have a low opinion of most 'real' actors, myself, I couldn't care less. Give me one good reason to give credence to anyone's prejudice. Will I suddenly start seeing them everywhere? Will they be holding me back, somehow, from something?

- Having sex with many women does not warrant the omission of romance and love in one's private life. Most people are hung-up on sex. I'm not. I assure you that the person I'd be interested in wouldn't either, as jealousy and distrust is not something I want to involve myself in, especially when it's all about something simple like having sex. I'd be more concerned about character and integrity, first.

- If I screw up, we do take-two. If I screw up and it ends up in the movie, I'll be the first to laugh at it. Why should I care if someone I don't know sees me fucking up and laughs? I won't lose sleep over it. Besides, I'd get to wake up and fuck more women the next day.

Come back to me with real arguments instead of condescending bullshit.
1. No, but you'll be less respected as an artist. You may not care about it, but I do.
2. So having wanton sexual encounters with varying people doesn't play into your judgement of one's character?
2B. I apologize, I suppose I'm more conservative than you.
3. Fascinating. You're a standard hormone charged teenager.

4. Do not call my argument 'condescending BS'. It is disrespectful and not conductive to an intelligent conversation.

My dreamjob would be working at Insomniac Games. I don't care what. Programmer, or something like that (which is part of the field of my degree I am working on, six months, yay!). Those guys are freaking awesome.
