Its a sad but true fact of Life that if you find yourself in a job you don't particularly enjoy, chances are your not going to be happy. This is why people work hard and do what they can in order to find their ideal jobs. The ones they've always wanted to do.

Take a guy in my class for example. He's always wanted to be a Flight Attendant and he actually has an interview coming up*. The smile hasn't come off his face yet.

So I ask you fellow Escapists, what your dream job.

I'm going to say Children's Illustrator. I don't really know why either. It just feels right.

*He's worked as an inturn for the company for three years. He practically already has his wings.

My current job, but better paid, and less cleaning out toilets. My job is quite fun, and it generally doesn't start until 1pm so I get a nice lie in. It means working until 10pm, but I don't mind that, and I'd rather work 1 to 9 than 9 to 5.

I think it would be worth it to do some of the stuff they do. Road trips across America, Vietnam and loads of others. Testing out super cars, being paid millions. Defiantly worth it = P

Besides, you'd also get to hang out with Richard Hammond and James May! Oh and Ralph the One Armed Sound Guy.

A curator for a military museum. Bonus points if it specializes in aviation or the World Wars.

I'd love to be a director.

My second choice would be an architect, and that's hopefully what I'm aiming for.

Go get yourself an NQPL (http://www.iql.org.uk/)! It's not a glamorous job, but it pays rather well and as it's got a required skill it's useful pretty much anywhere, been a pool lifeguard since I was 17.

Not sure what mine is now, I'm torn between working in a Solar Observatory doing research on the sun and working for BioWare as a project manager.

When I was 17, I had my dream job at the time, indy pro wrestler, few fans, local fame, was amazing, shame it all got taken away.
