it changes. Right now it's Operation Ivy. Some good, unadulterated punk energy.

But All Time, probably Radiohead.
Operation Ivy are also my favourite at the moment! Well, them and Strung Out.

Favourite band generaly would have to be between the Red Hot Chili Peppers and NOFX.

Nightwish-metal- They're the only band that I actually stick with. Which that's weird because I never have a favorite band. If I find a song and I like it, then it's on my IPod. But they have so many awesome songs that I like I can officially say they are my favorite band!

Rise Against. They just have some of the most amazing songs ever. Some of the stuff off their newest album was a bit of a let down though
I just waited for someone to say that, same from me. Of course, except for the thing on the latest album, i liked it. Like at first i only liked Re-Education, but as i listened to the songs more and more they grew on me and i loved em. (savior and Audience of One are standouts though)
A close second would be either Muse or Lostprophets. Why? cause i like them and their songs. Same reason everyone else loves their favorite bands.

Metallica-Great songs. Never put out a bad album. Kill Em All is great pump up music. Master of Puppets is MASTER OF FUCKING PUPPETS! Load and ReLoad were amazing. St. Anger i havent listened to yet but i like all the singles. Death Magnetic was also amazing.

Pantera-Phil Anselmo + Dimebag= GOD! I cant choose between Metallica and Pantera tho.

Slayer-Say what you want about their leads, but they are perfect live. Seasons in the Abyss is their magnum opus.

Opeth-Just a great band. Any band that can write songs like theirs deserves major cookies.

Death-Chuck Schuldiner. Enough said.

Rage Against the Machine-The lyrics have meaning behind them, all the guys are smart as hell, and Tom Morello is a very...unorthodox guitar player.

The Nightwatchman-Its Tom Morello with a nylon string acoustic and his voice. and its fucking awesome.

Alice In Chains-Nirvana was grunge with a lot of punk, AiC is grunge with a lot of METAL! Jerry Cantrell is one of the greats of that era.

Radiohead all the way because not many bands can pull off that style.
Word. Thom Yorke has the most twisted and artistic soul. they don't have one bad album, they're all unique and well put together.

After that, Tool is pretty good. Wilco is up there too. Pixies.

Strung Out (hence the avatar) - they're pretty unheard of, but they're fuckin' awesome. They are mostly punk rock but there are lots of other aspects to their sound. Jason Cruz has a great voice and is an awesome lyricist. As far as I'm concerned they've got a fairly unique sound - though to someone who isn't into that sort of music it might sound similar - and each song is a modern classic.

Disturbed being my single, most, favorite band on the planet..
I love them because in a lot of their songs, beauty meets brutality.
A lot of the time, I can understand what they're saying and can make a story easier out of their songs than anyone else.

Rammstein, because of the rawness and the aggression.. It blends well with the German language I think. People complain German is an ugly language, but I say it goes too well with the lyrics and music.

Lamb of God because... well, i'd give my left nut to be able to scream like Randy Blythe.
the drum beat is amazing.

Avenged Sevenfold because of the things they sing of, and just generally their music is easy to listen to and get lost in.

SlipKnoT... It's crazy. nuf' said.

All That Remains for much the same reasons as Disturbed. The instruments are amazing, and the vocals are both brutal and melodic.

Bullet for my Valentine, because again, a lot of it is easy to listen to.
and (mainly songs from the album Scream, Aim, Fire) i know what the songs have been written about, so it means more.
The fact that such a big band, came from such a small place is an inspiration to myself as a band member from a small town.

Coldplay. Great sounds, Chris Martin's voice is amazing (especially the high notes) and they generally have good songs. Though there are a few stinkers especially on there X&Y album

Guns N Roses, (even though they've only done 3 tours and 1 album in the past decade) I can't get the beat from Coma outta my head.
