Okkervil River, The D.E.P (japanese band)

I don't get the appeal of TV on radio though, tried listening to it a few times.

Lemon Demon (I know you have heard of them. You just don't know it)
Ghostland Observatory
I've seen them live a few times. I think Neil is a pretty funny guy.

My favorite band that no one i know excluding one friend knows of or listens too is Electric Six and I feel like a broken record saying it because I dunno how many times I have!
These are the songs that made me start listening to them

Most of the bands i listen to nobody's heard of but the ones that stand out are:
-Captain Chaos
-Ghost mice
-Defiance, Ohio
-Bomb the music industry

Whenever i mention any of them to anybody i usually get a blank face.

Porcupine Tree (my perfect band, spotify them there aren't any good youtube links; and every affiliated side project (of which there are LOADS))

Anathema (originally doom metal, later albums are more proggy ambient awesomeness)

Swallow The Sun (epic Scandinavian doom metal)

Aeon Spoke (Cynic side project, weird ambient dream rock)

Christ. A lot of you are living in denial if you think people haven't heard of Brand New, Death Cab and Electric Six. EVERYONE knows who Electric Six are. Come on, Gay Bar, High Voltage, Dance Commander and that Radio Ga Ga cover? Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly were on at Reading festival. Modest Mouse is pretty big too.

- Mika Miko
- Erase Errata
- Bratmobile
- Bikini Kill
- Daisy Chainsaw
- Queen Adreena
- Comanechi
- Battant
- No Age
- Agent Orange
- Abe Vigoda
- Akira Yamaoka (people will be familiar with his work but not his name he did all the Silent Hill soundtracks)
- Sleater-Kinney
- Le Tigre
- Plot Against Paris
- Lunachicks
- Gorilla Biscuits
- The Guns

Those are most of the bands people go "who?" at. I'm assuming people have heard of the likes of The Buzzcocks, Dead Kennedys and Black Flag. Most of the bands I like are that kind of stature.

Van Canto [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6F9aJuHJE80].
Corvus Corax [http://www.dizzler.com/index.search.dv8?f=1&q=Corvus+Corax]. One of their best is Ergo Bibamus.
Helene Bøksle [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSEUcIBCbLA].
I've only seen Van Canto's cover of Battery by Metallica and it was pretty, different. But good. :)

Also, none of my friends know who Mindless Self Indulgence are. No one i know does! D:
