What are your guys favorite book or books?
Mine is the Queendom of Sol, but that's just the hipster in me talking and trying to get the word out.

I read and re-read it too many times and I need something new to read, and I thought someone could give me a suggestion.

The Night Watch series, the Russian ones by Sergei Lukyanenko. Great modern setting fantasy.

The Redwall series by Brian Jacques, primarily Redwall itself. Fantastic kid's fantasy books that anyone can read.

The Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn. The best Star Wars novel's in my opinion, Thrawn is badass.

I don't read much. The last book I can remember liking was Armor by John Steakley. Pity there won't be a sequel.

I don't understand everyone's love for that book. I guess it isn't mature enough for me.
I'm into some gritty stuff >.>

My favorite book of all time is still to this day Pest Control by Bill Fitzhugh. It's a great read if you've never heard of it. Does a good job of mixing action, comedy and a hilarious ensemble of characters.

Honorable mention should go to Hitchhikers, Sherlock Holmes, Savannah Reid and Hercule Poirot novels, but Pest Control still wins as my favorite.

I feel that he's overrrated. I also can't get over the fact that he refers to people as "Gentiles", no educated person should pull such shit.

My favorite book(s) are :
The Face by Jack Vance
Ravenor by Dan Abnett
Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks
The Man in the High Castle by PKD (This is the author that I love. I live every day in the knowledge that I can't ever write or even live as awesomely as he did)

Band of Brothers
Beyond Band of Brothers
Generation Kill
One Bullet Away: The Making of a Marine Officer
House to House
Most Tom Clancy novels (Especially Rainbow Six, Hunt for Red October, Without Remorse and Red Storm Rising)
The Gun Seller
The "John Wells" series by Alex Berenson

Countless others. Yes, I love reading, and I have a soft spot for military fiction/non-fiction and espionage. :D

EDIT: Oh, and the Mass Effect and Halo novels. Drew Karpyshyn and Eric Nylund are brilliant writers.

This, and "The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand. I know the author isn't looked upon too fondly around these parts, but that book left such an haunting impact on me that it would be a personal crime not to mention it! Also, "1984" was really quite superb, and Stephen King's "Cell" was really good, too!

Moby Dick is exceptional, though difficult to get into the first time round.

The Face of the Waters by Robert Silverberg is a great read, I suppose it's sci-fi but very different to any other sci-fi I've read, it's all about humanity itself, and how people cope when they are the aliens.

I, Lucifer by Glen Duncan is a book I'd recommend to anyone, as is Blood Meridien by Cormac McCarthy

I love the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks, and pretty much anything by Cormac McCarthy.

There are more, but these two authors are the ones that really stick out to me.
