1)Samus Aran (Metroid), who is both the greatest Strong Female Character [sup][sup]Cliched-Ass Trademark Gag[/sup][/sup] in gaming and extremely attractive.
2)Faye Valentine (Cowboy Bebop). Essentially the same deal as Samus: fanservice + ACTUAL CHARACTERIZATION = great character.
3)Fred Burkle (Angel). I know there's this perception that she's essentially just a walking checklist of "endearing" traits for the audience to go over before Whedon does his thing and kills her brutally, but I found her to be a complex and genuinely likeable character.
3a)Willow Rosenberg (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Figured I'd put her with Fred, since they're from the same universe, I like them for many of the same reasons, and I usually want to give both of them platonic cuddles. Overall, I'd have to say I prefer Willow. While Fred gets her moments of badassery, they occasionally feel like an attempt to fill an arbitrary quota of awesome moments/character, rather than something that really fits with her character. Willow, on the other hand, is genuinely badass. I believe at one point in the comics she's explicitly stated to be the most powerful magical being in the universe.
3b)Ooh, and Faith. Badass, in-depth characterization, the whole works, and for this one I'm getting decidedly less platonic with the cuddles. She also gets bonus points for being one of the few people to not throw a ***** fit at Angel over the whole Twilight mess.
3I)You know what, let's just say every female in the Buffyverse except for Buffy herself. And Harmony. Harmony sucks.
