Pixar: Wall-E is my all time favourite film, other than Willy Wonka! Willy Wonk-AHEM. yes. Wall-E. best movie ever. almost.

Non-pixar: eh. classic =/= quality. Ive never particularly LIKED Disney movies other than Pixar.

The only one I remember watching is The Lion King, and I can't actually remember anything about it.

Unless Pixar movies count, I guess that wins by default. Although, like I said, I don't remember anything at all regarding it, apart from the fact that there is a lion.
Awww man, you make me sad :(

I'm not sure if I can pick a favorite. The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Robin Hood, Hunchback of Notre Dame, etc...they're all so damn good.
I'm going to agree with this. In terms of Disney movies more than ten years old its really hard to narrow them down to the best. The stories, the songs, everything about old Disney was just the best.

The Lion King. Awesome film. And I really liked Beauty and Beast, because I could really relate to Belle. We both enjoyed reading books. Also, Gaston was so epic and awful at the same time.

Oh calm down, honey-bunny. Stop being such a drama queen.

I never called you brain-damaged. Stop putting words in my mouth. Or fingers, rather. I said that it sucks to have your brain, but what i really meant was i'm trolling you because i find your reactions humorous.

All that aside though, when you say that you have to lower the bar like that to put up with films, and that otherwise you couldn't stand anything that Hollywood spits out, might i suggest that you are simply watching the wrong films? Most things that Hollywood create are in fact absolute rubbish. But there's more to films than Hollywood.

As for this:

I see it all the time on other forums. people go into Hollywood movies expecting something with a good plot, get something with a bunch of CGI titties back-dropped by exploding things, and they can't stand it. Then someone like me goes in, expecting exactly what is given, and we like the movie.
In regards to expectations, yes, i enjoy explosions and titties when that is what i want to watch. But there are plenty of films with classy plots and/or interesting characters or tasty camera work or deliciously framed shots.

Sometimes i enjoy singing lions too.

Aside of the anime and Pixar films.

I would probably say Alice In Wonderland.
I was gonna say Anastasia but I recently learned that's actually a Fox movie. Well done to you sirs.

Songwise though, Beauty And The Beast by far wins, runner up is Hercules.

My favorites would probably have to come from my early childhood, so that leaves Aladdin and Robin Hood in a close tie at the top of my list. Jungle Book comes in second. Know them by heart, I do.

Later, when I finally got around to watching the rest of the classics, I loved (what I am talking about, I still adore them!) Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Hunchback of Notre Dame ("Hellfire" wins the Best Epic Lyrics and Symbolism award), and some Fantasia sequences.

That said, part of the fun in rewatching them is picking them apart and harping on their implied messages and such. Ah. Innocence lost proves valuable with, of all things, Disney.

What, all 4? Or just 1 or 2? If all 4 then that's damn surprising!

*sigh* For the sake of this thread, I'll narrow my faves down (Pixar films not included). I'm gonna go with The Lion King, Aladdin, Mulan, and Peter Pan.

ARG why did you make me choose! My childhood is ruined! *cries in corner*

EDIT: Oh crap, how could I forget The Emperor's New Groove!? THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I AM FORCED TO CHOOSE! *continues crying*

Lilo and Stitch

They finally broke out of that classic renaissence and did something modern with that one. Thoroughly entertaining even when you're much older.

I have a few favourites, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin, Toy Story, Hercules, The Lion King, and I'm growing rather fond of The Princess and the Frog and others... I can't choose just one! it's impossible!

"The Lion King" and the "Hunchback of Notre Dame" are tied as my favorite Disney film. The guy who played Frollo was awesome, and I love the song "Hellfire"

Pixar: Im going to have to go with the toy story movies, with up as a close 4th.

Regular Disney: Its got to be Mulan.
