Lulu was great too.

I actually really liked Lightning early on in FF13 because she sassed out all the characters I hated- which was pretty much anyone but her.

Balthier was great too, despite being a lower-tier character.

The only Final Fantasy game I've ever played has been Final Fantasy XIII.
I'm sure you can understand why I don't have a favourite character. I liked Snow and Sazh more than the others though.

I think, since I played Crisis Core Zack's my favourite character. He's likable while not trancending into sadness all the time. Although he could be painfully naive at times, he was a good character.

His death was a real freaking surprise, as I played CC before FFVII.

Zack is my favourite character too, however I worked out he had to die because he wasn't in FF7 when I played part of it. Zack is just a good, well rounded character who kicks ass and doesn't go emo on people. I was incredibly sad when he died, kind of makes me wish I could make it so that cloud dies, then Zack gets to be in FF7 instead .

Plus he fights with a reasonably proportioned sword and carries around a bottle of alcohol, to keep his spirits up...

I have only played 10 so my options are limited but Tidus, despite what most people think he's quite emotionally strong, if you think about what he went through in that story/game, then most of us would be sobbing like little girls after a boy chased put a spider on us.

Auron is second 'cos he has this air of superiority which makes me not like him, but my gawd he's a heavy hitter!
