I know some people have probably heard of it (theres even an article on the Escapist: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/102566-Hearts-of-Iron-II-Becomes-Teaching-Tool ), But I don't think its that well known of a game. Hearts of Iron II. I have spent so much time on it, its so great.

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. I loved the robot krunk in it with his constant swearing!
Damn! I love that game. Had so much fun playing multiplayer with friends I never did beat it though...
I didn't have enough washers to buy the final computer chip during the fight with General Corrosive
Now I can't find the disk... I may never finish it. :(

Gemfire, a Koei Strategy game in the vain of Romance of the Three Kingdoms for NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis. Best version is for Genesis in my opinion, it maintains the graphic quality and decent music without the loading times. YES, the other two have to LOAD when it's the computers turn.

Dark Wizard, a turn-based Strategy-RPG game for Sega CD executed on a hexagonal grid that plays a lot like Fire Emblem or Shining Force. The stand out content that makes it shine are the Anime-style (also animated) cut scenes and soundtrack.

Warhammer 40k: Space Hulk
Hell yeah!

My suggestion is Hodj 'n Podj. It was a 1995 Mario Party type game that took every minigame you could think of and made it extremely British. It was like a cross between Mario Party and Monty Python. Really funny.

gauntlet dark legacy, best game ever!
and by far very much superior to the sequel gauntlet: seven sorrows, which though pretty and not horrible was a boring snoozefest.

The Legend of Dragoon (PS1) That game is four discs of glory that will NEVER BE TOPPED.
JetMoto (PS1) Great racing game with some unique traits.
Command & Conquer:Renagade (PC) C&C(Tiberium series) gone FPS. It's better than it sounds.
Heroes of Might & Magic (PC) Five installments, with about two expansions/game. Turn based strategy.
Dungeon Keeper (PC) The first game kicked all sorts of ass. Play as the bad guy. RTS.
Gothic (PC) Best RPG series ever made, until Gothic III.
Megaman X4 (PS1) Great game where you can chose to be X (has a gun) or Zero (has a KICK ASS sword)
Total Annihilation (PC) Best RTS ever made, full stop.
The original Unreal series (PC) Back when Unreal had a story. NOT that Tournament crap!
Warcraft II:Tides of Darkness and Warcraft II:Beyond the Dark Portal (PC,PS1) Amazing RTS that had well implamented naval warfare, which is quite rare.

That's my list. Most of these titles are alien to most people I speak to.

KGB aka Conspiracy. An old game that was unforgiving when you messed something up, but that was one of the great things in it, seriously.

Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle-Cars

psn dlc game that takes rc cars straps rockets on them and places them in an arena to play soccer, up to 4v4. Its simple to learn but difficult to master, very addicting for me. has a single player mode with games against bots and mini games to get you familiar with the controls, but the online matches are what makes the game. this fanmade video shows what is possible in the hands of practiced player.

Hype: The Time Quest. I swear I'm the only one on the planet that's played it.
Nah, I remember it. I remember getting stuck in a well, permenantly.
I don't know anyone who's heard of Ape Escape 1 (PS1), 2 and 3 (Both PS2), and Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time (PS1).
Oh, those games... limitless fun.

anyone ever played a game called "Nox"? just like diablo 1, but with more interesting classes/spells and much, much better locatons than even diablo 2.
Too bad I have yet to get around to figuring out Wine so I can run it on my mac.

Some of those arenas were quite beautiful.
And the acrobatics were ridiculous and cool.

"Aiden Chronicles: the First Mage". Good game before it's time and the N64 just couldn't meet the specs the game needed to really shine since the story is what really drove it.

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy was one of the best looking, most fluidly playing games on the Gamecube, and all of three people played it. Bad Marketing, I guess.
