I'll second Vigilante 8 and it's sequel. Pretty much 2 of the best split-screen games ever.

I'll also add Tony Hawk's Pro Skaters 1 + 2. Infinite replay value, and tons of fun to just dick around in Free Skate.

Oh! The Bloody Roar fighters on Gamecube and PS2. Man those were fun.

Empire: Total War had a really rough launch, but a few patches later and it's a very solid silver medalist in its own series (Rome still remains my #1 game of all time). A lot of folks wrote it off because of the buggy release, though.

I could also gush about Victoria: Revolutions until the cows come home, and that one's much-maligned even by Paradox fans.

Empire Earth.Oh how i love the age upgrades.Start at WWI and end up with future technology.
This, I loved that game. It was really something original. But I played Empire Earth II at my friend's house, and I found it very confusing, instead of sticking with the simple concept of EE1, they did something completely new, and, yeah, I know, I should play the tutorial first, but good RTSs don't need tutorials.

Oh, and all this RTS talk has reminded me of Age of Mythology, a really good game, with which you harness the favor of gods, and spawn various Mythical Creatures, and God powers, all depending as who you play as. You can play as the Norses, Egyptians and Greeks. A pretty clever game, in my opinion.

Age of Empires III is rarely talked about, only hear people say how good the second is, but I missed it.

There is not enough Worms Armageddon talk in this time period for my liking either.
Age III was excellent. My only complaint is that the units walked into battle at such a leisurely pace it looked like they were gearing up for a cricket match.
Also, Rise of Legends was fun stuff, although no one seems to remember it. Actually, no one seems to remember any RTS games outside of Starcraft.

Ghost In The Shell on PS2. I've had that game since back when I first got a PS2 and no one I've talked to has even heard of it. Shame too, it's actually pretty good.

Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines. Sure it was buggy, but it was really fun and atmospheric.

This is the first time ive hear this mentioned apart from me saying it. I loved that game, it was just a simple fighter game but it was fun as, some of the moves in that game wer fantastic. The only thing that bumbed me out is that it seems like no more video shops sell it, ive never seen it after i bought it.

Fatal Frame. That game is so scary that it made me sleep with the lights on for two days straight. Of course, no one has heard of it. It's crazy that people talk about Silent Hill and Resident Evil being scary games, but they have nothing on Fatal Frame. I don't understand why it isn't popular.
The second one is the scariest game I have ever played. Honestly, I don't think I've ever played it at night. The popularity thing probably has something to do with the fact that you're a small girl and your only weapon is a camera.

I can barely get through the first one and I've heard that the second one is even scarier. I plan on some day beating all the games, but I think I'm going to have a hard time.

Age Of Empries II: The Conquerers.

I'm not so sure if anyone even remembers this gem anymore. Certainly none of my friends know of it. Which I can understand because they're all console gamers.

I have almost never heard anyone talk about the original Drakengard (PS2), Alien Trilogy (PS1) or Kid Chameleon (Sega Megadrive).

It's a shame really because they were all good games (in their own way).

I really liked Clive Barkers games both Undying and jericho.

Undying was good and scary but no one has ever heard of it
and while jericho was filled with so much bad level design and a crappy final boss, i still loved the game (Even though i traded it in for Sc4¬¬)

Yeah I bought my copy at a wal-mart, I've never seen it in an actual game shop.

I'm getting sick of bringing this one up over and over again but....

Retro Game Challenge and the Japanese only sequel....

I need a new niche game.

I have armored core for answer... And that's pretty fun.
