Those are Walking Coffins that deserves to be trashed.
And for that, I send my Granzon on them;
Psh, bring it on. I expect you'll retreat the second yer precious lil paintjob gets scratched! Daishi is meant for fightin, not all a prancin round lookin purdy and whatnot. While yer all posing dramatically I'll be pullin the trigger and leavin yer pretty lil robots a pile of ashes in my wake!
BWAHAHAHAHA!

Except that they "borrowed" most of their original designs from the anime "Fang of the Sun Dougram" and "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross" OH SNAP!
I kid though, Battletech's BEST designs are the ones they came up with themselves. However I find their Universe more interesting than their robots, Guns with Legs just aren't that interesting to me.
I know, just having fun. Personally I love the Mechwarrior series for just that, it's slow and tactical. As a kid I used to have this cheesy tank sim game on the NES I played with my father, then growing up my love for that sort of slow, tactical combat evolved into a love of the PC Mechwarrior series. It might not be fast and action-packed, but play the games and you'll be amazed at how intense and strategic of a series it really is!
There are of course lighter mechs as well if you want speed, or nicely balanced mechs such as the Madcat which boasts considerable speed AND firepower. But me? Bigger, slower, better! I love piloting the biggest mechs on the battlefield and instantly having every eye turn my way as every battle revolves around trying to take down the proverbial lumbering mountain which dominates the battlefield.
Glorious!

Western mechs are ugly tin cans that are more like walking coffins. These are elegant things of beauty.
I like my Mechs like I like my action hero's, ugly gruff & tough. Western Mechs are the John Waynes and the Clint Eastwoods of the robot world. You're robots are more like pop stars and Twilight pretty boys.
Yeah, I went there!
