M14 rifle.

one of the last mastercrafted rifles of the US military before we bought the plastic M-16.

a heavy round that can drop near anything in a single shot, semi-auto so you can lay down suggnificant supressive fire, accurate long range so you can put a hole in some ones head at a distance, and good solid wooden butt. you stroke some one with this, they don't get up.

i Always use this rifle in any game that allows me. it is the perfect mix of accuracy, deadliness, and supressive capabilities in my book.

pistol wise, a Colt 1911.
classic handgun firing .45 caliber ammunition.
you tag some one with this handgun and they notice.
practical, precise, and potent.
doesn't kick too hard, isn't to big nor small, it just feels perfect in my hands.

Note
False points about revolvers

Revolvers do jam, anything that gets into the feed will cause it to jam.
be it Double Action or Single action, the revolver works through gears and springs and if dust or debris gets into those mechanisms it will jam like any other gun.

Revolvers are usually of equial strength or weaker than recoil operated handguns of the same caliber. this is because there is a gap between the barrel and the firing chamber which causes a suggnificant amount of hot gas to escape before it expends the bullet out. However, the advantage a Revolver has is that its construction more readily makes it available to fire the 'Magnum' or other specialized ammunition of any generic caliber. most other hand guns must be custom built in order to use specialized ammunition in order to become accustom to the stress generated from that bullet.

you can find a .50 caliber revolver, but you won't find a .50 caliber recoil operated handgun.

The Schmid-Rubin K-31 carbine. Beautiful rifle; the action is as smooth as silk and it's accuracy is unparalleled. Combine that with an equally beautiful bayonet I just recieved for my birthday, and you have yourself the most perfect bolt-action ever created.

But as for guns purely in videogames, I'd have to say the Machine Gun and Tri-Rocket Launcher from "JetForce Gemini" on the N64

you do realize that more people died that year of car wrecks. As for a fire arms usefullness I'd hardly call a 150 pound house wife a match for 200 pound home invader even if she dose have a bat.
Serious question, why do car crashes invalidate the lives of 55'000 people who were killed by something else?

Less serious question. Would a 150lb housewife be able to operate a gun with the kind of precision and speed needed to hit a 200lb invader even he wasn't armed? Assuming she could hit him would she be able to operate one powerful enough to actually stop him as well?
You may be horribly wrong, but let's just keep politics and serious debating out of this thread. There are plenty others to do so in.

The car crash thing doesn't invalidate them the point is that plenty of common objects kill many people every year. Yes the house wife could with fairly little practice you don't need something un-godly powerful to defend your self a .38 special or a .380 (both fairly low power rounds) would be sufficient to stop an attacker.

Why you say this, Guns are the greatest things in the world
what are you a Democrat hippie
Because they are largely useless tools. Name me one use for a gun (fire arm) that doesn't end in something's destruction, they are pointless. They achieve nothing a baseball bat couldn't do, you can play baseball with a baseball bat as well.

They also attract people who should not be allowed within a hundred paces of them. They attract the ill educated, the ignorant, the reactionery, the suicidal and the violent. None of whom make good candidates for the owners of a tool designed solely and specifically to destroy as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Obviously that's not everyone, but it's enough people to make it a problem, 55'000 of the Americans who died in 2005 would agree with me.
If you don't like it, then don't bring it up.

I find your logic HIGHLY amusing. So any object with one, and ONLY one use are completely useless? Okay then, let's make a list:

CDs - storing data and "NOTHING ELSE"
MP3 players - playing pirated music and "NOTHING ELSE"
Swords - stabbing people and "NOTHING ELSE"
Space Shuttles - going into space and "NOTHING ELSE"

See? And I'm just getting started on this.

The Colt Single Action Army, beauty and power in one glorious package. Seriously, who wouldn't want one of these things?

Not to mention that revolvers don't jam. Period.
.357 Plus 1 Kil-u?

Looks a hell of a lot like it.

Also, a pump action or semi auto shotgun would be my favorite.

P90. Fuck me that's a sexy weapon. It just looks...wow.
You have good tastes in sub-machine guns.

They are, at that.
And they have more stopping power than a regular handgun, unless I'm mistaken.
Which makes up for the fact that you only have six bullets (usually) and the longer reload time.
While they are classy, revolvers are very ineffective in a practical situation.

the DESERT EAGLE!
How original that you chose a over hyped gun. Desert Eagles may look and sound cool but they are very ineffective in a real world situation.

OT: I'm split between the Heckler & Koch MK. 23 [http://www.impactguns.com/store/media/awc_nexusII.jpg], and the beautiful M21 [http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/images/ssi/27527.jpg].

Would LOVE a TAR-21, but the Civilian ones are ugly, and the non-civi ones are near-impossible to get.
It's possible to get a civilian TAR-21 with the standard military stock, oversized trigger guard and all. It's just a matter of preference.

I have to agree with you, however.
The altered civilian version is hideous.
