I didn't quote you, I quoted Fix-the-spade, as I had an issue with what he said.
I think my post made it pretty clear about where I stand, but I'll spell it out for you. I'm not on anyones side, I just didn't agree with what he had to say. If he does not like gun owners or guns, then thats just dandy, but he needn't accuse us of all being violent and ignorant.
Ahh thats OK then. I can understand what you mean, and I agree. Guns attract violent people in the same way that fast cars can attract dangerous driversfix-the-spade said:I'm going to go and edit that post, it's badly worded.
What I meant is that they attract the wrong kind of person, not that all people who use them are the wrong kind. Having read it back yes that was pretty dumb, sort of like saying all people wearing fishnets are hookers.
silly question: how reliable are lever action rifles, and how do fire them from a prone psoition?
<spoiler=off the record>Actually yes, I've fired several. I've fired a few .22 popguns (God knows what they were, break action jobbies where you loaded the bullet one at a time), a Mauser 98 (1940's vintage one on Crete, very nice rifle), an L98 (bolt action variant of the L85, at the cadets) and I've shot at (and missed) deer with an SL-7.
Then in the last couple of years I've gone off guns entirely. Not sure why.
I dont need to chooses sides. It's a friendly discussion, not a war.Haseo21 said:Oh, thank you for choosing a side on this forumWadders said:The fuck?Haseo21 said:I have fired a gun, i own 3, a 22, a mossberg 12 gauge, and S&W short barel .30 cal

Actually, the Desert Eagle is completely impractical. It's huge, small clip capacity, horrid accuracy.Haseo21 said:The Desert Eagle might be original but that doesnt alter the fact that it kicks assKoeryn said:Funnily enough, the USAS-12 (semi-auto) shotgun is considered a Class III Destructive device.Ruzzian Roulette said:How original.speidel28 said:the DESERT EAGLE!
Mine is the USAS-12 Automatic Shotgun.
The Russian Saiga-12 (semi-auto) shotgun of more or less same specifications, is considered a standard hunting/sports gun.
Go figure that one out. =D
I REALLY like the Mosin Nagant 91/30, it's a pretty gun, and it's a heckuva lotta fun to shoot.
Actually, bolt action rifles in general. I really want to get an Arctic Warfare Police Magnum in either .338 Lapau or .308 Winchester. They're just pretty and comfortable.
Would LOVE a TAR-21, but the Civilian ones are ugly, and the non-civi ones are near-impossible to get.
and you have great taste with shotguns

Ah, but with a 44 you've got to reel yourself back in before you can take another shot.MaxTheReaper said:Hence my interest in guns with a bit of force behind them, like a .44.fix-the-spade said:snip
But the problem with a taser is that, to my knowledge, you only really get one shot before you have to reel it back in.
I can't be sure because they never talk about it, but it seems like it'd be a problem.
