Your favorite intro cinematic

Simple question, what's your favorite intro cinematics? The movie at the beginning of the game and so forth.

My two favorites as of recently are the cinematics for World of Warcraft, and the Burning crusade. (Not so much Lich King) Also, I like the 'music video' feel during the beginning of Borderlands.

The best intro cinematic I think I've ever seen was the one for Fallout 3. It's very quiet except for that one song, as the camera slowly moves back to reveal the barren wasteland, then the Brotherhood of Steel guy. Whoo... I get goose bumps watching it. It's really awesome.

WoW was a bit overdone, but still great to watch; Mine would be either be Fallout 3 as well or Condemned Criminal Origins (Its simple, to the point, and strangely fulfilling.)
Fallout 3 has excellent camera work, i agree.

I loves it, yes I does. The music makes me gush considerably.

Gotta be the original Saint's Row's intro cine', it sets up everything you need to know and works the main character into the whole thing, too.
It's really quite good.

Fallout 3, Half-Life 2 ("Wake up, Mr. Freeman, wake up and smell the ashes"), Mass Effect 1 & 2, and Shadow of the Colossus.

Half Life 2 comes to mind as does Fallout 3 ( i love that vintage camera thingy . I actually thought that AC2's intro cinematic was pretty awesome too.

I'm not sure what my favourite intro is, but it would be wrong not to mention Stronghold.

Best opening ever goes to Half Life 2, but htat wasn't cinematic sooo
Final Fantasy VIII It's fairly nonsensical but it looks good
Followed closely by Resident Evil: Code Veronica... which was ripped off by the Resident Evil 2 movie

In terms of being an effective way of introducing all the elements of the story, I think Halo: ODST has one of the best openings. It introduces all the characters, establishes the relationships between them, and starts the mystery that will drive the game.

Other than that, though it really doesn't count, I think the Indego Prophecy intro is probably the best I have ever seen.
