The appearance of the Balrog...MY GOD it was so cool...the sights...the crackling flames...ah...my god one of the most awesome sights I've seen in cinema.

Also when gandalf "dies". The music and sound, coupled with the imagery and their faces...its a very painful moment that tears me up each time.

The best part of that clip is not Legolas being an overpowered jackass, but Gimli's line after the fact.

It's not an action scene at all, but I love this scene.
It shows just how evil and dangerous the ring is. Even someone as powerful as Galadriel is tempted by it.
Also, Cate Blanchett can really act.

The charge of the Rohanhim (I think that's right) in the final battle. Just a massive cavalry charge at full pelt towards the battle.

Embedding fail, it's such a great moment, Sean Bean is somehow both more sinister and yet sympathetic as Boromir then I ever imagined reading the book.
